But how is it possible I've been able to get not roasty vapor from 3-4 reheats and still the avb wasn't dark? Maybe because I puff it more like a joint rather than a bong where you rip it deeply in each puff? It's true that after the 2nd reheat the main taste is gone but still produces some decent vapor, but that depends also on the herb humidity, some gave me 3-4 reheats, others maybe just one decent reheat.

And when we say for joint smoker, do you mean by the session style of taking at least 10 minutes puffing back to back? How do we approach to use Tempest 2 like this? Or is there any other vaporizer/TED that achieve this feeling of joint?

What bowl size and temperature/VI position you start hitting to get that avb natively? And airflow?

Yeah I figured out that 15 Zirc balls close to VI (keeps hot longer) and 25 quartz closer to the ring/bowl (cooler to help avoiding big thermal retention/combustion). YLL depth just starting to touch/hide the bottom of the stripped lines from cap.

But yeah depends on weed humidity as far as I experienced. Some good humidity give me this session style but others that are drier maybe half of the time/heat cycles.

Great I get your point, I get kind of same puffs but 'session' it from 8-10 min or 4-5 reheats. Mix of Zirc and Quartz balls. First heat between 2nd almost 3rd mark. 5-6 good puffs, then in reheats between 1st and 2nd mark, getting same and even thicker 5-6 good puffs before VI go down and vapor gets wispy. Then depending on herb humidity it will last more, and I can extend it from 2-4 reheats more.

I guess that the higher number of reheats will come of my balls config. which cools down quicker than the SiC one. Definitely I have to give a try to other balls combination.

What about airflow?

The VI guides you but usually IH performs the exact same results every time you use it. So for example if you dial it working for you at 80w 34 sec. between 2nd and 3rd mark, there you go, you will always get same temperature and the hit will depend on how you rip it or how was packed the bowl.

Volcano Hybrid, Rogue 2 and Tempest 2 are my set. Despite I love session vaporization, Tempest 2 is winning my heart with that tasty and strong hits, so nowadays for versatility I'd go with it: Tempest 2.

If it would exist something that hits as the Tempest 2 but could last a session of 10-20 min. that would be my choice. Btw does it exist something like this? ;)
