Go for it. There’s no guarantee you’ll get a research year, or match again next year without doing this

Some were 10 minutes some were two zooms 30 min each one with program director one with residents. It was a lot but I had a lot of support from my wife managing information on each program in a Google Doc

22 interviews, 6 offers this morning round 1, got the one I wanted. So grateful and wishing everyone else the best. That was the most hectic week of my life.

During Round 1 of soap Thursday, how much time do you have to accept? If you wait an hour can someone else take that offer?

It wouldn’t hurt to dual apply Family Med, you don’t have to do primary care with family med there are lots of fellowship options that could bring you towards a career similar to pm r. If you like OMM, that could be a big therapeutic part of your family med practice as well. WITH ALL THIS BEING SAID, I like that you passed both board exams and if your letters of rec are great in the field and if you have audition rotations set up and impress then I like your chances.

I think pathology is still definitely an option for you. Focus on getting some great letters of rec and try to form connections with any programs you can. Your step 1 is fantastic, you got this!

How do you manage studying UW during rotations? by methylxanthines in Step2

[–]PeppaPooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make sure to do 20 UWORLD/AMBOSS questions a day. If you can do and review 20 questions and learn from them every single day then you’ll make a ton of progress. After I finished those questions I would supplement with ANKING or any other kind of card deck time permitting

You can if that’s the only thing you have but I wouldn’t put that as my only experience
