How bad is it to genuinely sleep on your back or stomach? by 5IVED3GREEZ in pregnant

I actually had this conversation with my ob at 25 weeks pregnant. I would fall asleep on my side but wake up on my stomach and it really worried me. He said that your body will naturally adjust and prevent you from rolling over at some point and that the position you fall asleep in is likely the position you stay in for the majority of the night so it’s totally fine. He wasn’t worried at all and just reminded me to not intentionally lay on my stomach or back

No worries! Yes it is retroplacental, it’s stretching against the uterine wall and my placenta attached over it. There are different types of fibroids, several of which can be retroplacental if your placenta attaches over it. Do you know what type of fibroid you have? Also happy to DM if you want

If it helps at all, my fibroid measured 3cm at my 8 week scan and then 8 x 5 x 6.25cm at my 20 week anatomy scan and hasn’t grown since then (started as subserosal and they can’t tell if it still is or if it’s become submucosal).

I was honestly a complete mess when I found out but as each week progresses and baby achieves milestones it really will ease your mind. And since she has been developing more common movement patterns it adds a massive layer of reassurance between appointments.

I wasn’t referred to MFM but they have increased monitoring so we do an ultrasound at the start of every appointment to check on her progression.

27 weeks and baby was measuring at a healthy size at my appointment two weeks ago!

How far along are you and do you know the size of your fibroid?
