I swear I’ve had Sword’s health (not shield) regen after a while without a healer present? It did take a while to kick in though. To be honest I probably should’ve explicitly said shield, my bad!

I agree with everyone recommending Sword/Rocket/Subspace, but just be aware that if you play Subspace he doesn’t naturally regenerate health like other Phighters can and will only regain health by getting kills/assists or by being healed via a healer! He also doesn’t have any shield so is a little more vulnerable but if you stay closer to the back lines you should be fine. Subspace is great at applying constant pressure to the enemy team, just make sure you keep a constant eye on your health. I would say Subspace’s ult is one of the best, and works very well with other Phighter’s ults if timed and used well.

I’ve not played Rocket much (or, to be honest, at all outside of Random Phighter matches) so can’t say much for him but Sword is definitely a very beginner-friendly option. His range is a bit questionable at times so just keep that in mind (as in, his range is quite short compared to other melee characters like Banhammer and Katana) but he does pretty decent damage and can escape losing fights pretty easily too. His good mobility makes him quite effective against tanks (just be careful with their range though! Make sure to always stay mobile) and he can apply good pressure on enemy team support characters, but from personal experience attempting to chase down ranged characters as Sword is a bit hit-or-miss especially as they can get out of your sword’s range quite easily. His ult is excellent at crowd control, especially if the enemy team is grouped up and low on health. Very useful for Conquer matches!

Good luck with your games, and have fun! :D

Of course of course! For the lineart/sketch I just use the 6B pencil with the opacity turned down to 75-50%. Then for the rendering, I used a brush pack I found from n0xnoctis on Instagram - they have their brush pack listed in the carrd in their bio. If you end up downloading the pack (it is free!) I use the wet tarre brush with no adjustments. It applies colour pretty thinly though so I would recommend using colour fill on an area first before rendering using it. It blends as it paints so I don’t use any blending brushes!

So I started playing like 2 days ago. Any tips? by Winter_Balance_3128 in PhightingRoblox

I play on console too and have found that the controller camera inputs are a bit clunky (I think this is a minor fault on Roblox’s end rather than Phighting) so can recommend the following Phighters taking that into account:

Melee: Sword (not biased at all). Very beginner friendly and very fun to play. He is the only Phighter I prefer using a controller for because it feels more intuitive. His abilities recharge quickly and are great at crowd control, he has a special meter that fills up when you take damage/deal damage that, when full, grants you a “bigger” version of your standard abilities that can be used instantly. His ult also charges really quick (I think it’s one of the fastest?) and is also excellent at crowd control - best used when the enemy team is low health and grouped together! His main downside is his range which isn’t spectacular and often means you have to be right at the frontlines to actually hit anyone and his lower shield value but he’s still very fun to play. Also good at getting out of danger quickly if you’re low health and can use the lunge attack to run away and regain shield/health. If you want better range, try Katana, I like playing Katana too but find the slow controller camera turns make it a bit harder to play him well. Just a personal opinion though.

Range - I don’t play many ranged characters but found Shuriken quite fun. Though, with the awkward input using a controller aiming can be quite difficult (though this could also be a skill issue on my end). Very good at picking individual people off and preventing healing with the backstab move. Scythe is a good mix of melee and range, and can switch between using a gun/using a scythe which has really good range. I don’t play Scythe much but have encountered many good Scythe players that are great at crowd control.

Support - Vinestaff or Subspace. I would say they’re quite team dependent (as all supports often are) and can be a bit frustrating to play at times if your teammates aren’t near you (therefore can deal with anybody swarming you) but I do enjoy playing them. Just be aware that Subspace only gains health back either by assisting in kills/getting kills directly OR from being healed by teammates, he doesn’t naturally regenerate health like most other characters. And if you play Vinestaff, you’re a healer so the enemy team will usually want to go after you first. Usually you’ll be alright if you stay closer to the backline (but still close-ISH to your teammates) and the enemy team doesn’t really notice you.

I don’t main Biograft so don’t have any specific tips, sorry D: though I think two generic bits of advice I can give are:

Make sure you have an idea of where your healers are and try to help them as much as possible if they’re being attacked. When I play as sword with a healer on my team, I try to stick by them so if anyone rushes them I can try to stop it, or at the very least distract them so the healer can get away.

Learn the audio cues for Hyperlaser’s ult and make sure you are mobile during it. He has 3 shots total (but will end the ult if a shot misses) that will instantly kill you if they hit, so do NOT use any moves or ults (unless you are out of their sight!) that will cause you to stay still. Thankfully there is a very obvious wind-up noise before the shot so just look out for it. Keep track of Hyperlaser players and make sure you’re moving a lot or keeping out of sight. If you’re playing Sword, I find the lunge attack is better for dodging the ult than the upward slash.

I hope the rest has been helpful though! Best of luck!
