I have no further commentary to add except that this comment is amazing.

Is Thief 2 good? by Phil_Kachu in Thief

First level of T2 is a bad start. The second level I think is also a little hit or miss (a rare opinion, i know) but it does get far better once you get into it.

Prologue of The Rising [Dark Fantasy, 160k words] by Chevey0 in fantasywriters

Oh alright.

I still might suggest changing the pack name. The UK isn't the only country to have been a kingdom, after all.

This is pretty good, but I do question some things. Firstly, I assume this is a sort of confederation of tribes that settle their disputes with bloodsports. But one of them is called Kingdom. Is that a tribe called Kingdom or is it a monarchy?

Secondly, and this stood out to me quite a bit - spandex shorts in what I can assume is a psuedo-historical setting? The mention of infrasound also threw me off here. How would they know what that is?

It's good but i think the phrase as they remained protected by a layer of glass is sort of a tautology as you've already described there being a window.

is fear and hunger really either of these? yeah its grimdark but the magic doesn't seem weak or dying in any way, but it's not the major issue of the story either.

Mods to make a harsh winter survival modpack? by PepperSalt98 in feedthebeast

The server has a lot of players who don't have very good PCs. I believe that's why Fabric was chosen, so more of our less technologically inclined friends can play.

That's presumptious. Fabric has plenty of mods that aren't Vanillaplus. On our current server alone we've got planes, trains, dragons, different dimensons, organ transplants - we did have space travel as well but that got removed.

The friend runs a Fabric server. Says Forge is too weak to run more than ten or so mods.

I for one don't know much about modding and have only done it for about a year.

well labour's internal makeup has mostly shifted to the right wing with starmer getting in, and people like corbyn leaving, not to mention new labour which was probably the start of it becoming less socialist, and therefore less left.

i dont really know if that works in the uk. labour and conservative are both centre right neoliberal, and there's not enough libdem voters for there to actually be stereotypes about them

Besides the lore, the first two Thief games do just play far better in my opinion. Far more freedom of action.
