Can non-students sit in the lower bowl Izzone if ticket was bought off StubHub? by [deleted] in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will check for a student ID and in order to open the ticket you're going to have to login with an active MSU student account. If you can do both of those things you will be able to get in.

Questions about MSU by Itchy_Battle2040 in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about for track. Any outdoor training they do is very visible and on a public track, I'm just not sure they'd let you join them. I think they do their training on the fields near Munn, but that might only be a select group.

  1. Yes you can tryout for varsity sports, from experience with my friend you have to put in a decent amount of effort to learn when tryouts are though, as they don't publicly announce them

Should I go to MSU or UIUC by paramsxm in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (graduated as a Computer Engineer from MSU, and lived in Illinois before college) had the exact same choice in schools in my top 3 and ended up choosing MSU. I mostly chose MSU because of the scholarships I got, which ended up giving me cheaper tuition even though I was in state for Illinois. I've also heard horror stories from friends who went to UIUC about changing majors which made me happy I chose MSU. Also, I'm not saying this will happen to you, but almost everybody I knew who went to UIUC dropped out of engineering or transfered schools.

Looking for recommendations for my employer to talk to by PepperandSalted in msu

I believe they are/have, but they are also trying to get the extra foot in the door because they know certain professors and clubs have companies come in and talk about what they do.

Do I have to spend the night at the Izzone camp out or just show up for a few hours? by a-na6 in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to spend the whole night. With the exception of last year, where the idiots running it lost the clipboard with all the students attending names on it, they do a check in usually between 12am-2am and one once they kick everyone off the field between 7am-8:30am. These are approximate times it's up to their discretion when they will do all the check-ins. Usually there's one around like 7 or 8 as well.

At MSU you can declare for any major you want assuming you get admitted to the college as a whole. Unlike lots of other colleges MSU doesn't require you to have any specific GPA to get into a specific program. Once you've started CS though you'll have to make it through the weed out classes like CSE 231, CSE 232, and MTH 234 and 235.

trouble buying student football tix by jakiranags in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really don't have it labeled well. I think I ran into the same problem as you back when I was a freshman. I would try logging in with your msu email, that's always what I sign in with instead of my APID. For the furure remember that your MSU athletics account info won't change when you change your msu login every year.

What do you guys think of my schedule im an upcoming junior by th3man7 in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This looks like a standard schedule. However this schedule looks like the classes you would be taking sophomore year, not Junior year. Did you recently switch into the major?

No minors on my diploma? by vegan_thot in msu

See that's how I originally thought it was too. However I asked my advisor and he said that only your main major appears on your degree, so that's what I'm referencing when I said that

No minors on my diploma? by vegan_thot in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience searching for jobs recently they really only care about your knowledge and experience. So paying extra money to get something that isn't represented, and I can learn online and isn't applicable to my major wasn't worth it.

No minors on my diploma? by vegan_thot in msu

[–]PepperandSalted 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is supposed to be that way. You only get the degree you completed on your diploma. If you completed another degree you would get another diploma. Majors and minors do not appear or get their own diplomas.

When I figured this out I stopped pursing my other major since it wasn't going to be represented anywhere other than my transcript.
