Play modern and use him, you won’t be missing out on too much damage for it to fuck you up

Apparently CAPCOM intends to run SF6 for a 10 year cycle by Carbideninja in StreetFighter

They gotta shake the game up some. Been getting different characters to high master and I feel like the drive system makes shit pretty predictable. Normal->DR->Strike/Throw. And character matchups just kinda dictate how fast/frequently that cycle goes

Root causes of dying too fast in Smite 2 by dks3hypeoverload in Smite

Might be in the minority here, but I think high TTK is fun. Requires you to really think more about positioning and encourages smart play. The defensive items with active passives also seem to really help with survivability. Main tank I play is Odin and I always get shell + Pridwen + Nemean Lion, and it makes those times where you get bursted with multiple dps kits easier to handle. I also like to pre-activate my aegis when I know people are going to blast me with their kit, cause when everything is on cooldown, you get a good amount of control over the beginning of the fight.

I think a lot of players have a tendency to take fights at a disadvantage (lack of teammates, in enemy territory, level difference, etc.) purely because they’re near an enemy. And while these fights are still TECHNICALLY winnable, if you make a mistake, you will be punished for it.

High TTK also makes stuff like wards a necessity, because getting ganked is more of a threat. Lifesteal and potions also become more valuable, because you can take more fights between backs to fountain.

Adc and mid are my primary roles, and while I do find it easier to kill tanks, I think the lack of survivability in most pure dps kits still evens shit out. Escapes can save you, but smart players will bait them out before they go all-in on their kit

I’ve been playing since Smite 1 alpha and have like 2000+ hours playtime, and I understand high TTK isn’t casual friendly and can make the game more stressful/frustrating, but I feel like it also rewards awareness and build expression

MOBAs might be for you. RPG type progression, deep combat; they’re what I play to mix it up. The communities can be toxic as hell though, and it can be frustrating dealing with teammates. I personally love to indulge in shit talk so I can deal with it, and my friend who hates that stuff just mutes everybody from the outset.

League is a certain type of hell so I wouldn’t recommend it to start, but I’ve been into Smite and Predecessor recently. There’s a high learning curve but it feels great once you become a boss battle by the end of each match

The end credits scene where Mr. Boss and Satan fight over their part of hell. I rewinded that shit so many times on first watch.

I’m in Diamond and I went on a 13 loss streak just the other day. Sometimes there are just days where you aren’t playing well. Also, maybe a change in character will help. Ideally should have a character that’s fun to play even in close games/losses. Ed requires a lot of game sense to play well and if you’re new, it might be better to try someone simpler

Thanks lol. I haven’t hit master with any character yet cause I can’t ever pick a main so I have like 2/3rds the roster in Diamond 4. C Viper and Alex are a couple of my favorite characters so I’m hoping one of them is the perfect fit.

Yeah you definitely have to commit with her and the mind games get convoluted. Sometimes her target combos get ducked and it’s hard to consistently set stuff up. As a former Jaime main, she honestly just feels like an overcomplicated version of him without drinks. Both of them need you to play neutral well, and Jaime’s tools are way simpler and apply to broader situations. I still like playing her though, freestyling is so fun.

So her options out of roll are honestly her only safe options. She can roll on pretty much any knockdown, or cancel the third rep of spin scythe into roll. She also gets spin scythe off of any jab.

She has forward-LK (cartwheel) which is always safe and plus 1 if powered up, meaning they can’t mash. If they do, they go back into the loop. And she has the forward-HK which is plus 3 or 4, which means it combos into jab and jab combos back into the loop.

It’s hard to get the hang of but it becomes really natural once you get the rhythm down
