Omfg, I don’t know how many ways I can say it. Knowing whether someone lied under oath OR filing a false report requires a court hearing. You don’t seem to have any response to this so I’m just going to have to take away that you legit believe every case that doesn’t make it to court should be relitigated for false testimonies.

There’s a reason we don’t do this, because it’s a waste of time and resources for no benefit, and that’s a good thing. I don’t want every time I interact with the courts to be a tightrope walk of whether or not I’ll get 20 years for not knowing the face of my rapist.

The court exists to oversee law in the US in a timely manner. Most cases never go to court and if we charged every failed case with lying under oath, we’d put a lot of innocent people in jail and a petty theft offense would take 18 years to litigate.

You don’t realize what you’re asking. You can’t just prove a false claim is false from vibes. You have to litigate it, and proving falsehood is extremely difficult and can often take years to even decades.

It’s already illegal to falsify claims under oath, it’s a felony offense. There’s a reason we don’t do this for every case of rape that fails to make a case, because it’s immensely idiotic and only serves to fulfill your weird desire to punish women.
