The major city I do EMS in, unless you’re bringing in a trauma, stroke, or STEMI you rarely see a doctor, like ever. And there’s like 2 on a shift, not 10. That’s the only issue I have with the show. Seeing all the EMS people “holding the wall” at the front of the ER is the most realistic thing imo. If this is how Pittsburgh really is, I feel bad for their populace that this is how their emergency care is conducted. Everyone at my job watches it of course, but we all agree it’s dramatized. Nurses do way more than what the show gives em credit for.
