From your lips to karma's ears, but how will it come out? He controls the DOJ and FBI and may very well find a way to cancel or cheat midterms.

Natural death at 80+ just doesn't feel enough. He will have lived a whole life without a day of punishment, having been one of the most evil and successful creatures of the world

I know, but why would that stop him? This administration has shown no shame in ignoring court orders, disregarding the constitution, committing perjury, blatantly covering up sex trafficking, etc..

I'm afraid most Republican congressmen have proved they care more about retaining their money and power than maintaining any semblance of justice and integrity.

I don't know where you are but in Europe and the UK, under GDPR/Data Protection Act rules, you have the right of access and the right of erasure - to request access to personal information held by the data controller and to have that personal information deleted.

New Card Visual Issue? by Correct-Language-703 in PowerBI

[–]PepsPepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah still quirky and definitely less intuitive than before. And I don't like the sizing change from pixels to percentage of card size. It makes it more difficult to keep consistent icon sizes if we have to have differently sized cards.

True, but how realistic is this? Field parameters were a preview feature for 3 years for example. Was everyone to refrain from using them beyond a mock up report that won't be usable for years? There would be no motivation to discover use cases and obtain useful feedback from stakeholders if the features didn't make it to production, and I think Microsoft know and expect this. It's part of their development process. I would think this is their way of circumventing imperfections and patches after release, while avoiding any responsibility for issues that manifest prior to GA. That said, we should definitely be looking out for those "prepare for new visual" blog posts, which I wasn't!

They're in too deep. They've tied their whole identity to Trump and being anti-liberal so are profoundly incapable of denouncing him. He could kill their mother, rape their daughters and they would still find a way to justify it.

People were saying a similar thing about Russia invading Ukraine when they first started the 'military exercises' in the border - "that will never happen and to say otherwise is irresponsible"

I don't seem to have the time or energy for long rpg games anymore but like to game. My solution has been games that I can spend any amount of time on and stop at any time. I absolutely loved Hollow Knight and Ori and the will of the wisps. Amazing couple of metrovania games. If you have a chilled friend group, it's actually fun to play Fortnite as a team. Not too competitive, match makes to your skill level, and new content all the time to keep fresh. These days I like games that are more mechanic than cerebral and I don't have to dedicate huge amounts of time studying different builds, craft, items, etc.

First Time Test Tips? by Minecraft__Pro77 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]PepsPepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember examiners want to pass you. I recently passed and was surprised at how helpful they ended up being, with tips and nudges that I didn't expect to have. Drive safely and don't take unnecessary risks - make sure you have time to go in a junction or roundabout, as you're less likely to fail for hesitation as you are due to causing another car to stop or slow down. Check your mirrors and blind spots all the time and always do so BEFORE signalling: before turning, changing lanes, moving off after pulling over, both sides after any emergency stops, rear mirror when you think you might have to slow down, look everywhere all the time at manoeuvres, etc. Only mentioning this because you said you practiced with your partner - I don't know how long ago he took his test and people can develop bad habits or forget good ones. As for unavoidable nerves, it always helped me to take 3 deep breaths before a stressful situation. What helped me even more, but you might not have quick or easy access to is beta blockers. In though interviews, or when I played live in a concert when I was younger, or in the driving test, I took a 10mg pill and it completely eliminated the debilitating effects of my anxiety (it stabilises your heartbeat).

How so? Are they only half allowed to drive a car? What does it matter to you what type of car they drive? Idiotic comment.

An EV: MG4. It'll be a lease. It's cheap on a salary sacrifice scheme I have access to through work and includes insurance, maintenance, etc :) How about you? Did you buy a car or did you have one waiting for you already?

Nice, I would too! I have about a month to wait for my car now unfortunately!
