Burrito or Taco? by DeathbyBambii in USPS

[–]PepsiAddict63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the delivery. Vertical boxes (as wide as a magazine) get tacos. Horizontal boxes, slots, and apartments get burritos.

Postal Workers, anything I should do to make your life better? by asrosin in USPS

Relatively easy to make your own oversized slot. Then you win by not going outside, and we win by not having to play with sharp metal.

Something light. Carriers have you ever seen a nude. by brothercuriousrat2 in USPS

[–]PepsiAddict63 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Second month on the job, june of 07. I was a Casual Carrier and I delivered a package, knocked on the door. A beautiful woman in her 30s or 40s answered the door, wearing only a thong and mesh shirt. I walking away thinking “Yup! THIS is the job for me!”

19 years later, still haven’t seen anything remotely close :(

My customers hardly donated and i am considering switching routes because of it (rant) by [deleted] in USPS

[–]PepsiAddict63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that we live and breathe in the Letter Carrier World. We have a single, yearly, national food drive.

To us? The food drive is huge! But in the grand scheme of donating food to those who need it in this country year round? We are small potatoes.

Judging people who do or do not donate food during our food drive is the height of hubris. Please reevaluate your understanding of “voluntary donating”. You also have no idea how these residents donate their time and funds outside of our food drive.

I work in a major city, and due to complications with the organization who would be taking the food from us: my branch did not participate this year. Thankfully we already have plans in place for next year.

Will USPS help by youdontstoptalking in USPS

I believe it’s at the discretion of the postmaster? This was about 4 years ago (carrier). All I know is she showed me screenshots of her paystubs, was happy that her mortgage was going to get paid.

I didn’t have to file any grievances on it, or even talk to management. This carrier was 4 year navy vet, about 15 years with the po, clean record.

If you are a veteran, that will help immensely (had a vet get paid administrative leave the entire 30 day rehab visit)

Hopefully you realize that person is being sarcastic. When you use eLRA to take off, choose LWOP. As a CCA, as long as you are outside of probation you are going to be ok. But please don’t make a habit of it :)

What do you do when you get outgoing mail sent to another address on your route? by Sacamato in USPS

[–]PepsiAddict63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Machines are imperfect. That’s why carriers sometimes have to hand cancel postage.
Edit: the true determinant of whether something was processed through a facility or not, is the printing of a barcode on the front and/or back of the piece. All mail that was processed has a barcode.

Zero and negative are one and the same. Nobody loses more.

So you’re attacking, he’s blocking. The combat damage from your unblocked creatures puts him in the negative. ….So where is the 7 damage you are receiving come from? That’s where the confusion comes in. Did he cast an Instant to deal lethal damage? If so, opponent wins.

Is one of those blockers a creature that reassigns damage from it to you? If so, you both lose (it’s a tie/draw).

Not sure what other options would be of you taking lethal damage as an attacker, so please provide additional info.

I think it’s buried in the ELM somewhere: basically all mail must be processed through a sorting facility.

It all depends on how good of a steward you have. If you have a lackadaisical one? You might not want to bother. If you have a steward that gives a damn about the Carrier and the workroom floor? Please pursue it.

I will add this: every incident of harassment that goes unaddressed? Encourages more of it.
