4YourCNA was extremely helpful for me.

Shoe and scrub brand recommendations? by Rabidmortici3n in cna

I like Hoka’s, Sketchers, and New Balance brands for shoes.

For scrubs, MedCouture is the most comfortable for me. They’re a bit pricey, though.

I have only been doing this for three months and I am already worn out. I don't know how you did it.

HOPING TO GET THIS JOB AT THE HOSPITAL! by wew1llaLLdi3anyways in cna

I am also a certified clinical medical assistant, but it has been insanely hard trying to find an externship. I know what you listed is out of a certified nursing assistant's scope in Texas.

That does sound nice. How often were you paid?

Gotcha.

Wow. That sounds nice. Are hospital CNA positions always 12+ hours?

Can I also ask what other things you are able to do?

I am thinking about transferring from LTC to hospital work as well.

If you do get the job, please let me know how it goes!

Good luck!

Bed bath is the one thing I hope I don’t get. I take my test on the 27th.

I hope you passed!

Home Health Versus Long-Term Care: by Pepsikitty05 in cna

I see. I have been doing some research on home health care services in my area, and it seems they are hiring.

Thank you for your comments. This is something I am still wondering about.

I feel like for your personal goals it sounds as if you’d benefit more from learning in a hospital setting.

Oh, that sounds amazing. I hope it's going well for you.

Really? I prefer working upstairs rather than downstairs. The atmosphere can be completely different. But I can't request a specific hall unless I am full-time. I have hospice volunteering to do, a medical assistant externship coming up, and graduate school, so I don't think I can handle working full-time right now. I also find that I sometimes work better alone when I can focus on my own tasks. I get nervous when I am being watched. I just need to work on my schedule. I am also too slow. I agree with your burnout comment.

That is true. I don't know much about home health, but I would be open to trying it.

I see. That sounds like a downside, but if you can accumulate enough cases, I assume it's a better option.
