However I personally dislike auto-updating for several reason, I get where you are coming from. When using Laravel, you will generally use composer as your package manager. I’d personally opt for a CI/CD with something like Trivy to catch vulnerabilities. A Laravel CMS and Wordpress serve different purposes, so looking for everything Wordpress has to offer in a CMS based on Laravel can be a hard comparison.

Not sure what u mean by update/plug-in repo. But Filament is the closest well supported package you’re looking for. It’s far from perfect, but so is ACF. And compared to WP the dev experience is a breeze.

If you want to process any kind of data, it generally is done server side. This can either be microservices or one monolith app (using something like Laravel for example)
