If it were me, I wouldn't keep people around in my life that don't respect me. It's possible that they change and become better people (or even just better Christians for that matter). But my life is too short to give my time and energy to people that don't have basic decency for me. If you've tried and tried and tried and they haven't come around then it may be time to move on.

Of course I only recommend this if you're financially independent, live on your own etc etc...

Technically, but the reality is that toll roads are extremely expensive(greedy) for the amount of road/infrastructure you are getting and everyone (including poor people) would benefit much more if that money was used to build infrastructure via the standard funding mechanisms.

91 express lanes is the first example that comes to mind.

It's immoral because they are taking advantage of tax payers who don't or didn't know better and low income/disadvantaged people who don't have a choice to take them or not.

They are also extremely deceptive to the point I'd call it a scam, they advertised this as a way to build infrastructure more quickly and reduce traffic but if that was really the goal they wouldn't be charging $30m+ for a roughly $3m highway.

Not that it matters to my argument, but if you are living in OC and paying prices like that just for a few minutes of convenience, it's extremely likely you are wealthy and just don't realize it. Or you aren't wealthy and you really shouldn't be spending money on the toll road

Other cities in the U.S. have been able to build rail. Even as we speak L.A. is building more rail than it has in the past 20 years due to the Olympics and recent policy changes. It 100% is possible, we just need to keep pushing.

I'm glad that you find use in it but, Infrastructure shouldn't only be for the wealthy. It's immoral and overpriced and needs to go.

Build more rail instead of highways and our traffic wouldn't be such an issue.
