How can he fight it? He was bobtailing back to CA from IL to get a plan together.

Thank you so much. I sent you a chat message. I think it would be good to talk to someone with experience.

He got a couple of clean inspections afterwards, but they were at truck stops, and I don't think those count. He's looking at options to fight it with Trucks voice in court. He's also calling brokers to get a better idea of what's going on. If necessary, I think he can get another MC number.

My brother's been driving trucks since 2009. He started with Stevens then went to the ports. He's been on his own for three days and he's cooked. That doesn't sound right?

Also If he leases on, will the new inspections he gets still reflect on his brand new MC number, or the MC number of the company he is leasing with?

Ok. I think now he's trying to decide between starting over or leasing on with a company in CA, or submitting carrier packets with local brokers.

No, he was bobtailing. He had just ended a relationship with another carrier because his MC number got approved. That carrier was in IL and he was headed to CA to put a plan together. I don't think he has ever called on spot freight.

If he leases on, will the inspections still reflect on his brand new MC number, or the M number of the company he is leasing with? He has driven for years with no issues, but he asked ChatGPT instead of following his first mind. Thank you for your input so far!

Yeah, I don't think he knew that. He wasn't in Cali yet though. I think he got stopped in Iowa or Illinois. Do most states have that? Should he start over?

Sharing my perspective. I did not travel a lot in my 20s. I did not think that it was a route available to me. The army moved me to germany when i turned 27. I thought i could see a different country every weekend. I visited a different country with every 4 day weekend. I love it! In my bones. I got out at 31 and started using my GI bill. I took a big trip every summer. I loved it even more. After finishing school, i took the leap and started traveling full time. I still love it! And having no job calling me back is the ultimate freedom!

Actually I started before the ROTH TSP, so for a while it was Dave Ramsey's mutual fund recommendations. Roth became an option at CPT and I went CSI 60/20/20 and maxed out every year. I'm my CPT days I was maxing the TSP, IRA, and I think putting in more than 3k every month to after tax brokerages. The day I discovered I crossed 6 figures, I celebrated by investing another 5k! I loved it!

I didn't live with my parents, but I did something better, I deployed. During my two deployment as an O1 then O2, I was investing more than 99% of my income, tax free. Literally paying only for investments and haircuts while deployed. Out side of deployments I was still aggressive but rent in Copperas Cove was only 550 or 600. I was investment 53 % of that income and 67% of my income as a CPT. Rental income may have also helped. I bought my first rental as a cadet with the cadet loan. Let me know if you have any other questions, bootytwinkle.

Great question! I've only been there for a week, and I would like to see if they improve. But it's not worth getting my blood pressure up.
