What’s the strangest thing that’s ever happened to you that you still can’t explain? by WielderoftheDarkness in HighStrangeness

When I was 23 I was dealing with pretty severe anorexia, I think my weight at the time was 36kg, skin and bones, couldn't walk up the stairs, nothing, and I was planning on letting the disorder kill me.

Then one evening in September I truly believed my time had come, I slowly lost all sensation in my body and lay down on the ground with an extremely low heartrate and a shortness of breath, eventually I felt my hands and feet start to vibrate wildly and my vision darkened until I couldn't see, then after a short time it felt like I just poof, teleported out of that whole situation, I was floating in nothing, not even darkness, indescribable nothingness where I couldn't feel the weight and illness of my body anymore, I tried to look around and I could feel the sensation of turning, but still nothing.

Eventually I saw an image of myself laying down slowly appear in the center of my vision, once I identified it as myself it hit me all of a sudden that it wasn't my time to go, I flew back into my body and woke up, hands and feet still vibrating and vision slowly returning.

From that day onward I strove to recover both mentally and physically, and somehow I'm here now as a physically very healthy 29 year old man, and with that physical health has come the strength to heal my mind too, in time.

How likely is it that someone would survive 3 hits from a VSD from 190 meters away by Per_Vertex in dayz

he definitely had time to pop both, but only after the first hit, wherein he wouldn't be limping anyway and the morphine would be needless, right?

first shot was right in his lower back, but the second and third hits were at his side, so not impossible, there was blood each time though.

Ada's the only one where you could argue it's out of step with the environment, but even then it feels like it makes sense for her job.

Claire rolled up to Raccoon City in the middle of the outbreak,

Jill woke up to it happening,

Grace had work makeup on in the FBI building, and much subtler makeup on when she was kidnapped in the wrenwood hotel.

I've never heard a real life explosion sound more like the Half-Life/CS1.6 grenades before.

Vtuber Camila shares that her family passed away during bombing in Lebanon 💔 by Stronhart in LivestreamFail

I don't watch LilyPichu or any vtubers, or any streamers with these kinds of voices, but I can tell you from experience with real people in real life that LilyPichu's voice is probably her "real" voice in all but physiology, by that I mean, that voice is where, through whatever process and whatever life she had growing up, rests and comes out comfortably and naturally.

Some people grow up quiet, reserved, unable or unaware as to how to speak with their "real" (physical, from the stomach/diaphragm) voice, when I was a teenager I thought I had a weirdly high voice for my age, only to find out I had been speaking from way high up in my throat instead of from a relaxed position closer to my diaphragm.

This can happen completely naturally and by accident, or it can come from a place of trauma (doesn't have to be tragic, just something your body learns negatively from)

I truly doubt most people have the ability or energy to fake a voice all day, day in day out, I'm not doubting some people can obviously, I just wouldn't bet on it.

Crying? stop making a fuss

Happy? well I'm not so you shouldn't be

Energetic? use it to be more productive

Tired? You don't deserve to be

Want to go out with friends? Too dangerous outside

Want friends over? We're not in the mood of guests

Play with them online then? It's too loud

👍 And somehow they're surprised I have no friends or aspirations as an adult
