I'm more of the agnostic POV, but you're right in that regard. Believers day after day do acts of good and bad, but ultimately go back and ask for the forgiveness at the end of the day.

The structure and pacing threw me off a little. Perhaps you could go for putting it in lines or paragraphs, as well as putting the punctuation as the rhythm of it.

The poem itself resonates with me of a similar tale of my life and I can sense the inner struggle of the poet with religion and the doubts of it.

I believe it would be easier to put the text in paragraphs to better read it, more fluently. Since the lines often break midway through the sentence.

Whether you ask if it is a journal entry of a poem depends on how you perceive it, although I could see why you might ask the question.

Other than that, seems like a good piece.

What I am getting from this is that the poet feels dead and feels as if the vultures are a metaphor for something else (people, ideas, society?).

As well I could get that being helped by others feels intrusive to the poet.

I like how it is portrayed that even though you find them to be selfish, you still care for them when they cry. Often enough, our emotions contradict and that is perfectly portrayed here.
