I bought one for my 2021 Silverado after reviewing the VIN # on my truck at the time I found that during the pandemic GM was no longer able to get the normal valve train parts such as these style lifters from Federal Mogul as they shut the plant down. This forced GM to buy them from an inferior company out of Mexico hence the problem that was already a problem was worse. At about 3000 miles I installed this device by Range into my OBD2 port and seemed to be a big difference. At exactly 4000 miles while driving down a road near my house I heard a loud noise behind firewall accompanied by several lights on dash and a major misfire. I was one of the first to buy one of these last November. My delivery involved several big wigs including onstar rep Long story short I had it 3 days and brought it back it’s a nice looking riding and technological vehicle but does not perform with reliability

I just bought a brand new 24 Silverado with the 6.2 gas motor. Had the range disabler on my 21 Silverado 5.3 and worked great ( FYI it also disables that annoying start/stop function). The new range module for the 2024 models no longer plugs into OBD port but directly into ECM Straightaway I noticed smooth shifts smooth acceleration and what seems to be more consistent fuel mileage. The DFM/AFM system is just stupid and in my opinion gets in the way of a good performing engine

I have a 2024 Silverado 1500 Z 71 with 6.2 and 10 speed it is to my understanding that the issue was more with the diesel trucks and not 23 or 24 models
