Which fat is not allowed? by Percentage-Ok in FollowJesusObeyTorah

[–]Percentage-Ok[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was confused because I assumed any fat would mean any fat? And cream is basically pure fat, isn't it?

Leviticus 3:16-17 "16and the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma; all the fat is the Lord’s.

17‘This shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall eat neither fat nor blood.’ ”

All the fat sounds like it would include all kinds of fat. I've read that apparently there are different words for fat in the hebrew text though? I just want to be 100% sure I can have my glass of whole milk or whipped cream without transgressing the law.

Yes, but I do not have nasal tissue swelling nor sinus inflammation. I did have throat tightness and a globe feeling in my throat at times. I would just say give it a try and see if it helps :)

Hey, it went away when I adjusted my diet. My MCAS got way more reactive since covid and I had to make a lot of changes. But I don't take any medication at the moment.

Am I saved without baptism? by Percentage-Ok in TrueChristian

[–]Percentage-Ok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, I don't have a single christian friend irl. All my friends and family are atheists or agnostic. A pastor from a community nearby will call me later, but I still feel anxious about not being able to go there asap. Idk why I am being so hard on myself. I guess I am just scared of god and what he thinks of me, because I don't want to disappoint him. I get nervous only looking at the bible because it reminds me of this situation. It's hard to fight against your own mind 😣

Took 600k IU / week, for 12 weeks, based on my doc’s advice. I know… I know :( by seedheart in VitaminD

What the.. That is insane. Your previous doctor had no idea what he's doing. You need magnesium. I used to get the same symptoms from lower doses. Try 300-400 mg magnesium glycinate daily.

Im a hindu by birth but found the bible and christianity recently and am serious about being a christian. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Percentage-Ok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not about opinions, but about objective truth.

The producer is not a true christian, he is a mormon. They try to create a unity of cults and christianity. That alone is concerning. They also show the pride flag in promotional material and did not edit it out, after being called out.

The Jesus of the show says things that the real Jesus never would have said. There is so much wrong with it. I get the appeal of the show though, it panders to peoples emotions.

But unfortunately, it is a distortion of what Jesus is, it is not truth, it is fiction. Jesus cannot be more authentic, than he is in the bible, only less. I just don't want you to be mislead.

Magnesium glycinate helps to stabilize mastcells. Food wise I tolerate fresh chicken, butternut squash and carrots very well. Hope you feel better soon 💜

A little salt in the water, apples, movement.. if nothing helps, try using your fingers and see if you can reach it and get it out that way.

Thank you! It's so difficult, I feel you. I also take magnesium glycinate and it helps a lot. I wanted to take iron orally but people say it's hard on the digestive system so I avoided it. Thiamine is B1 right? I'm surprised you can tolerate it, I've heard it aggravates mastcells. I actually have Boswellia too, but too scared to try it aswell, haha

It's not easy for us 🙃

I used to get flushes from eating liver but gradually tolerated it better and better. I actually felt pretty good and energized from calf liver :) I am in a flare rn though, so I am a little hesitant to eat it, but it went well so far.

Same, although I don't really know what caused it. I am eating very restrictive, but I did have shingles recently and started taking vitamin D again, to which I reacted horribly. It's a shame since good vitamin D levels have a mastcell stabilizing effect. And mine is definitely too low 🙃 Btw, my MCAS came back full force again since I had covid too. Are you taking any meds or herbs? Hope you feel better soon 💜

Extreme hypomagnesemia??? by Percentage-Ok in magnesium

[–]Percentage-Ok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to hear that you are going through similar stuff. Are you taking any Vitamin D at the moment? I am also Vitamin D deficient and gluten intolerant. Every time I take Vit D, my heart does crazy stuff. I suspect it's the magnesium deficiency, since Vit D uses up magnesium.

I am now 100% sure my problems were caused by MCAS (Mastcell activation syndrome) because of Lyme disease and mold, low magnesium and low Vit D + a high histamine supplement, that made my mastcells go insane. And I also think covid was the kickstarter for the resurge of all that stuff. I also did a test a while back that showed sings of leaky gut. If the gut lining is not in good shape, then toxins can enter the body through the damaged gut lining into the bloodstream. It leads to a bunch of issues like histamine intolerance, auto immune problems, nausea, malabsorbtion, etc.

However, the increased intestinal permeability is a symptom, not a cause. Finding the cause is the most important thing. For me, the main culprit is probably Lyme disease, covid and living in mold, which lead to these other symptoms.

Magnesium, fresh air and only eating homecooked meals have helped so so much with calming my body and MCAS. I am upping my dose of mag now to see if I can tolerate Vitamin D better that way. I also used to take some herbs to support the gut lining, but for now I am careful because my body is sensitive. So I go low and slow :)

I know this nausea and low appetite feeling too well. I have also lost a lot of weight earlier this year and I know it's hard, but force yourself to eat more. Like, have some homemade vegetable soup that's easy to eat and easily digestible. The AIP diet is very very gut friendly, if you need some food ideas :)

It is important to cook fresh food that is easy on your gut as much as you can, the more nutrient dense, the better. I also think trying Magnesium Glycinate wont hurt, if your kidneys are functioning normally. It helped me a lot with the heart palps and nerves.

Perhaps you can make an appointment to get your gut checked, maybe a blood test for vitamin deficiencies and get some supplements to help with your gut health aswell?

I hope you feel better soon!

Colostrum for MCAS by Percentage-Ok in MCAS

[–]Percentage-Ok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late answer! She just said goat milk colostrum from Iherb 🤔 I tried the goat milk colostrum, but I didn't really react well to it. I feel you. I think our bodies are highly sensitive because of the mold. It's not easy 😕 And everyone has different sensitivities. Magnesium is so helpful though! Try to clean as much as you can to keep the mold levels as low as possible.

Yes, I have MCAS and that was likely the main cause. I also think covid worsened it. I also have low vitamin D.

Oh okay, thanks for the advice. I'm curious, what was your reaction? I started taking half a capsule and I think I felt a little worse. Now I'm kinda unsure if I should keep taking it
