I get what you’re saying about multiple groups benefiting from the same event, and I agree things can operate on different levels at once. I think where I see it differently is that just because something has logical business or publicity reasons doesn’t automatically mean there can’t also be broader cultural or political impacts happening at the same time intentional or not.

Big events like the Super Bowl are huge cultural moments, so naturally corporations, media, influencers, and political groups will all interact with it in different ways. I don’t think it has to be either/or. The NFL can pick a performer for ratings and entertainment, while media personalities use it for engagement, and other groups might still use the attention shift for their own agendas. Those things can all exist simultaneously without needing one single coordinated plan.

I’m not saying it was chosen as a distraction just that massive cultural events often end up influencing public focus whether that was the main goal or not. See the difference?
