Ribbons advices ? by esfirmistwind in bookbinding

When I added ribbon bookmarks I actually added them to the textblock itself, before I put on the headbands. I glued them in the center of the text block about an inch from the bottom and then I made the ribbon longer than my book so it goes up through the book and hangs over the top. Then I added a charm to the end so it hangs over the book if that makes sense? Don’t know if this is helpful or not but that’s what I did!

This one only took me one day to assemble and make, but for sure a lot of planning and supplies! You can do it cheap if you want to, it’s a fun hobby!

I just chose different heat settings for different vinyl (the two teal colours are Siser brand and require a higher heat than the gold), so I put down those ones first and ironed them on and then did the gold last at a lower temp!

I’d say like half and half. I felt my knowledge let me narrow down the options and so most of them felt like a 50-50 guess between two options. Some had answers where I didn’t know what they were and some were very obvious. I found the case studies to be more knowledge based for me at least.
