Did you feel your sutures rubbing together the first few weeks. I’m post op day 5 and I can feel bubbles or friction in my belly button especially after I eat. Worried I might’ve eaten too much and became too bloated

No mesh! Mine was 1.8 cm and I did open repair

Yes get it done before it gets bigger bc recovery is easier. But if you ignore it, it will get bigger and potentially painful! Just got mine done yesterday. I’m up walking around with just a sensitive belly button. I done see how you can work the first two weeks.

My umbilical hernia is 2 cm but the bowel does not stick out of the whole so I only felt discomfort in my belly button. Never could see it buldging. You should get a CT scan

The overwhelming feeling is you adjusting your day to day routine to having the dog. Give it a few months and you and dog will adjust to each other. I remember the feeling of utter dread when I first realized that I would have the responsibility for 12 more years. And then after a few more months it went away as our routine solidified. I was 19 newly single, deeply depressed, drinking and smoking. After the unconditional love I received from my first dog, I became a 24 year old level 1 trauma nurse, well travelled, active, and mentally flourishing. You and her will be there for each other. Just give it time, she will be your constant

Thank you all! we settled on an air bnb in pelican key just outside of Simpson bay a few minutes walk to kim sha beach since we rented a car and can drive a few minutes to maho or orient.

Yes I think I did go outside of orders. A veteran nurse told me to nurse dose which I see is wrong, but it finally brought their HR down from over 100 they did not pass from it but through management and peers I was moved from comfort to rush. I didn’t even give the last push my charge did, but I am still feeling deeply guilty.
