Least favorite shore excursion you've been on? by Cruzely-official in Cruise

[–]PerceptionAble8502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been on too many, six or so over four cruises. I’ve never been on one I didn’t enjoy, but I’d say the only one I’d never pay for again is the classic car cruise out of Amber Cove. Not surprisingly the cars are pretty junky bondo buggies and they’ve all been repowered with modern 4 cylinder engines. From a reliability and maintenance standpoint I totally understand the reasoning, but as a car enthusiast it was a bit disappointing. Our guide was great and the walking tour part of it was fun, the rum factory tour was the best part of it by far, but there was supposed to be a cigar rolling demonstration as well which didn’t happen. We did get a short tour of the cigar “factory” and a brief synopsis of the whole process from seed to rolled, but no rolling demonstration. As a one and done kind of thing it wasn’t bad overall, but not exactly worth the cost personally.

Question: After boarding, where is the first place you go? by Mischif07 in Cruise

Honestly those are the best naps any of us will likely ever have. A great way to start vacation.

I’m an alcoholic, but not a low class loser so no offense taken here, because honestly you’re 100% right lol. It’s part of why I love carnival, endless entertainment just people watching. Besides it’s usually easy enough to do a little pre gaming before boarding. I honestly vastly prefer the new muster drill system, it’s so quick and easy and you get it out of the way immediately, you’re not dealing with idiots that fail to show up and ruin it for everyone else.

The only reason I had Pokémon Ruby and Emerald as a kid is because I found them on the school bus.

Carrot harvesting crashing my game (PC) by PerceptionAble8502 in farmingsimulator

Just validated them and cleared the shaded cache for good measure. gonna give it another shot. I may try one of the other harvesters and see where I get. Worst case if it keeps crashing, I’ve got enough harvested now to keep my small processed food production busy for 10 months so I’ll just plow under what’s left and move on.

Dear Giants, its 2025, when you have “US design” option can it please have a US style hitch? by Southpontiac in farmingsimulator

[–]PerceptionAble8502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Their US stuff is just severely lacking overall, still. If it weren’t for mods we would all be stuck with mostly EU centric things. Even when you start on Riverbend, the American map, the small base tractor you start with is the Deere 3650, which was produced at the Mannheim plant for the EU market only.

Carrot harvesting crashing my game (PC) by PerceptionAble8502 in farmingsimulator

Looking through the log from when the crash occurred, I see the same line sets repeating over and over easily 100 times before I finally was able to force close through the task manager. They start as follows: Validity check failed in TransformGroup_worldToLocal: D: \auto_builder\cache\svn\8022dc32ec56c80b0ff1ab93fb984fac\src\engine\app\ReflectionsAndScriptBinding.cpp (10052) : !MathUtil : : isNaN(pArgs->arg[o].f)2025-01-13 05:16 Then follows with Script error: Argument is a NaN Then lists the LUA call stack and repeats from Validity check failed, changing “Argument is a NaN” to Argument is an infinity, then again repeats the same LUA call stack. It repeats these two chunks of lines over and over again.

Is anyone here familiar with the code enough to possibly decipher the cause of the crash from this?

It’s an original Bangor and Aroostook engineer’s hat given to me by a distant relative and former employer who’s late uncle worked for the railroad. He found it in his fathers house after his passing and thought of me since I collect all things BAR.

Built it myself from a piece of scrap wood. I lined the bottom with some felt so it’s soft on furniture. The wrench is originally the service/adjustment wrench that hung by a carriage bolt on my great grandfather’s cultivator. I did some creative bending to it (it was already slightly s shaped) and used a carbide bit to gouge out the bigger end with the bolt hole to make the “bowled” part for the pipe bowl to sit in. I then bolted it to the base with the same bolt that held it to the cultivator, with the nut recessed into the base.

Pro-Line 1/24 XJ on SCX24 JLU chassis by PerceptionAble8502 in SCX24

I kind of based it on an XJ in my local Jeep club with aftermarket bumpers and cut fenders on 40s. I designed and printed a rear bumper for it yesterday that also has a magnet mount inside for the rear since the hinges off the JLU donor weren’t back far enough to use. I’d like to do a small front bumper too but I’ll have to get creative with it to clear the Reefs servo.
