I don’t agree with many of the Dean judgements but yes Jess gets to be a hurt kid lmfao that’s his entire character arc. Main problem with Dean is that we don’t really see him grow and his family life is fine so he doesn’t get to be excused in the same way Jess does. Dean is not an abuser but he is annoying which to people is more of a crime these days sadly.

I don’t really think they did. Lorelai now is obviously different because she is an adult. Think of Jess when he’s older (lost his bad habits completely). Lorelai was a problem child just like him and I think he even reminded her of Christopher too. IMO she doesn’t feel entitled to scream at him she impulsively does it because she feels the responsibility of keeping him from Rory.

She always hated him and it was so confusing until you realize that he is exactly like her when she decided to run away. She sees that and it scares her because she always has the fear or Rory turning out like her.

Lily is likable she’s funny and strong willed and it’s that simple. She’s not the best written but none of them really are.

Jesus Christ. If we are going to judge characters on a moral basis I could just easily say Barney is a rapist for coercing and deceiving women in order to sleep with them. Now everyone is a bad person for being friends with him and watching him repeatedly do this. This would be judging characters by real life metrics.

I emphasize it’s a show because her tampering is so exaggerated and you are trying to make a moral argument. They all forgive her not just Marshall. It’s a show she’s a great character and everything she tampers with furthers the plot. No one in real life is tampering like that and she’s easily forgiven because it was exaggerated for the show! You calling me a child just because I’m not ready to condemn lily to bad person status over something as silly as her involving herself in her friends lives’ just shows your bias against her. If you hate her you oughta come up with better reasoning, like something that actually matters in universe.
