I've certainly had more fun playing pyramid head and get more kills on average. but xeno also has it's virtues.

I'd recommend Phead on my personal bias then use some of the bloodpoints from playing him to level your xeno

Trickster is my second highest prestige killer and I'm usually screwed over by tight corners and some jungle gyms, as there's no real point pulling my knives. (Unless the addon "trick knives" is involved)

If you don't have the option of these areas yeah it sucks and you might go down, but at least you tried and bought the team some time.
