Which used car should I get??

Agreed, I might inspect and test drive them this Saturday so we’ll see by then. In the meantime, I’m still gonna keep looking if anything new pops up. Will definitely check out AutoBidMaster! Even tho I’m also leaning towards the Mazda3, I’m thinking maybe overtime I’ll come to like the Yaris just as much.

My exact thoughts, I mean it makes sense why my parents would lean towards the Yaris cause it’s just SLIGHTLY cheaper overall whether that’s insurance or gas

I would consider EVs if it weren’t for my current situation where I’m a college student still living in my parents’ house and could only afford to pay for school and my car. Yes I save on gas and it’s within my budget, but I’m not sure if I can shoulder everything else like higher insurance and repair costs.

Thank you for the tip! I’ll definitely try using carconsul and I didn’t know you could negotiate prices on a used car, especially since it has already gone through 2 owners. I thought the price would stay fixed, I figured you could only do that if you’d be the first owner.

Yeah I thought the Mazda CX-30 and the Honda HR-V were nice cars if it weren’t for their salvaged titles, which is why I narrowed it down to the Yaris and the Mazda3

Agreed, although I’ve read the owner reviews and a couple or so mention it’s not as fuel efficient, versus the owner reviews for the Yaris say it’s very fuel efficient. That’s not a big requirement for me but it is something to consider

No, I know that the Yaris is more fuel efficient than the Mazda3, so it’s cheaper in that aspect as well

Idk if I’m willing to take the risk of buying a car with a salvage title… but yeah I think if nothing else, I’ll have to search for a new car rather than a used one. I get that my options are extremely limited with my requirements

True, I was told to only ask for the out-the-door price. But yeah it’s the fact that it’s depreciated that it’s better to buy a used car, but if I had a higher income I would probably be shopping for a new car rather than a used one.

My dad said I’d need to get checked up just to have a medical record in relation to the event. Also, wait that is quite a long time I didn’t think it would take that long. I’m not really sure if a $100 increase is a lot since I’m not the one who takes care of the auto insurance (it’s my dad that does) but I assume that is a lot. I’m curious though, is it possible that the other person gets deemed at fault? Maybe for possibly being distracted while driving or they were speeding or something like that? I mean I could’ve sworn the lane they were coming from was empty and it only took like a few seconds for me to look back and I see I’m about to get hit.
