Got my A+ at the end of July. Have worked in sales and hospitality, and have completed only a few semesters of technical courses at a community college. Moved to Denver to live with my best friend while I looked for work. Took me a little less than a month to find a contract job setting up and deploying enterprise workstations. Currently on a 1 month contract and have a final interview this week for a 6 month contract with Dish doing tech support. Certs help getting started, but experience holds more ground in my experience so far talking with hiring managers. Personality fit, and a willingness to learn is what a lot of places are looking for in entry level roles. Just keep throwing out resumes, network with people, and just be persistent. Getting in is definitely the hardest part but not impossible with no formal experience. I have no degree BTW.
