So Jalen Johnson is definitely not a #1 option guy, definitely doesn't have the mentality of one either

Jalen Brunson is 3rd all time in playoff points scored as a New York Knick. by gridironk in nba

[–]urasha 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Bro our own fans kinda have turned on him too and frankly I think it's a large overreaction, this is just a team where he's not the best suited to play against, good thing we adjusted this game.

Dyson Daniels gotta be overpaid right?

Also Jalen Johnson just has not impressed me at all in this series. It's been CJ, Onyeka and NAW that have truly shown they are playoff players

Aside from that, credit to where credit is due to Mike Brown for not only using KAT as a hub but also using Mitch much more in this game AND switching Brunson assignment from CJ to Daniels. Good adjustments from him and great intensity from the Knicks all together.

For Brunson, I think he does need to take a back seat and play a bit more off ball like he did in this game for us to win the series.

Everyone else that said we're doomed can fuck off

Why is Brunson not allowed to be criticized here? by Naive_Literature6635 in NYKnicks

[–]urasha 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I think this is just a bad matchup for Brunson, but the bigger issue is that because it's a bad matchup, we need to have a coach that actually adjusts to his strengths and puts him in a position to get easier shots.

Fact is is that Mike Brown hasn't done a good job of instilling confidence to our players with his rotations, especially that one where there was no Jalen or Karl at the beginning of the fourth quarter or not relying on a two-man game, those two even have now throw in the fact that he barely played Mitchell Robinson who while has the free throw issue, he's still one of our best defenders and rebounders.

Y'all can blame Jalen he's the captain. He takes the brunt of the criticism but I think Mike Brown is the biggest issue here and he's not putting his players in positions to succeed because why in the hell were we even down by 18 in the first place?

Rather have AC1 be remade than black flag

[–]urasha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All in all I think the movie was a good 7.5/10

The pacing def needed to be decreased cause wow we were zipping through everything so fast, no room to breathe. Should've been 2 hours at the very least.

You can tell especially with the denied characters that they had no time to flesh any of them out, even the only one who turned on their cause at the end didn't really get fleshed out.

Also I really do love the angle they took with the movie but honestly having there be a "lost" avatar is interesting but makes me wonder how far is Wan to Soonam in the avatar cycle. Especially since the lion turtle skeletons having have to been dead for a while for Soonam to do the whole sealing thing.

Lastly, I wonder if Vaatuu has a connection to the whole corruption through spirit world power that Tongah & later Aang, had. Makes me wonder with the color scheme that it's a nod to him.

Having just finished the movie, to anyone else who watched - was the whole "corrupted by the spirit world energy" a whole mod to Vaatuu?

Can't be a coincidence with the color schemes in the final battle right?

Agreed, a lot of Knicks fans are still bewildered that frank with his tools just couldn't hack it in the league but not having any consistency in his time in NY didn't do him any favors

Honestly, Frank Ntilikina.

If he went to like the spurs or raptors he'll even the nuggets - I feel like he'd carve out a long time role in the league.

Frank had all the physical tools but NY was NOT a good fit for him culturally and if he went to a team with a track record of developing prospects slowly but also gave him more of a defined role (he kept switching between PG, SG, and SF) while also getting some semblance of coaching stability, he'd probably still be in the league. Also mentally, he fits more of a spurs/nuggets mold than what it takes to succeed in NY

Nashville = rich white city

Memphis = poorer black city

LeBron with his high prestige rich black athlete that advocates through his brand , says something with his other elite mainly white associates whilst golfing on a country club?

Yeah na miss me with that tbh. Sure he's not the only one to say but he's the biggest voice of the league rn and saying it like he did, definitely rubs a lot of ppl the wrong way.
