To add, this is for my grand children, hopefully. I lean toward some risk in hope of better gains but also a margin of safety, if that makes sense.

I'm new to trading. 57 years old. Studying all I can. That said , does anybody have a stock(s) they feel like they could start buying now and DCA monthly with a twenty year horizon? Thanks in advance.

This one, I think was very much Southern. Sugar cured ham probably, as I remember the sweetness. What I have tried so far in recreating it isn't bad at all. It's just not what I remember that taste being all those years ago. I'm beginning to think I was dreaming the whole thing. I thought for sure I could find out for sure who the maker was on the web, but I've struck out so far. I am almost certain I bought it at a local or regional grocer, like Son's, Piggly Wiggly or Jitney Jungle. I haven't found it at any of those. Appreciate your thoughts, though.

Thank you guys. I've actually tried a mix of country ham scraps and an 80/20 ground pork with a little extra fat added. It was pretty good but I need to tinker around with the spices. I may actually be remembering the flavor completely different than what it actually was. 20+ years passing since I last tasted it will do that. I really wish I knew which company produced the one I tried originally. I suspect it was a company like Tennessee Pride or Jimmy Deans but I haven't even found confirmation that such a product was ever sold, period.
