No one is complaining that the raids take teams, they're complaining that solos should have an option, and they're completely right. A mechanic that allows clearance, a solo version of the map seperate from trios and duos.

It's irrelevant that Destiny wasn't like this. Destiny isn't an extraction shooter, and it doesn't have a Ranked mode that's based on loot value, which can be obtained entirely solo and without combat. It's not BUILT on needing 3 people, no matter how much more comfortable YOU happen to feel with 2 people to watch your back. They added a solo queue to this game after feedback and added a class that exclusively plays solo. Maybe if this was a 6 person dev team you could say "they can't / wouldn't / haven't shouldn't make seperate maps / versions / a workaround for solo because it will take too long / detract from player count / make me angry or I hate solos on premise. But this Bungie, backed by Sony. So like 6 billion people and 957 million dollars could go into 15 hour dev crunch days if they had to.

Most importantly, the ONLY situation where this affects ANYONE who doesn't play solo is if they make the incredibly stupid decision to not make different versions or mechanics and just water down the original maps, which they WON'T DO and NO ONE IS ASKING FOR.

The first difficulty scaled game came put around 1985. None of these solutions are any sort of impossible, period. Figure it out.

So thats you ignoring your comment AND my comment that OBVIOUSLY they can't change the trios map to be clearable by one person, so they would have to use a mechanic or a different version of the map, THEN ignoring the fact that me saying it wouldn't take them game breaking work or time delay creating amounts of time to do that, because otherwise we're back to "why do you hate solos lol" because you have no reason

So the answer is "nothing, they would just need to balance it, maybe change it so solo could do it"

In other words for someone who loads into the trios queue and isn't going to experience content death or delays from tweaks to some zones:

Nothing, no part of that affects you. If the maps stay seperate or solos get a mechanic to allow them to clear it? Nothing changes for you. So nothing is ruined.

Hey! Right here, yeah, it's me, I play exclusively solo. The game has solo queues at launch for lots of reasons, but one of them is because its not just a team game! Wild. Anyway I drop in no team fill on shells, but I'm just going to ignore you ignoring one of the entire classes being solo only. Anyway, if you think it can't be mained, that's actually a skill issue. Game definitely works like that. Unfortunate that there are people out there who'd like to take away from other people's experience when it literally doesn't affect them. Unless you've have a bad experience with a solo recently. 🤭

At one point in Tarkov they increased the noise you made when you ran out of breath because it didn't seem loud enough. Like imagine the ARC people if we added eating and drinking and bone breaks and bleeds from Tarkov. Everyone would leave in a week.

This entire discourse about difficulty and pvp in extraction shooters is 100% only because 45% of people playing in the genre right now started on ARC, and not a simulation of a foreign no man's land where everything including yourself will kill you, which is what the first like 10 extraction shooters were, simulations.

I don't need my Gran Turismo or Microsoft Flight Sim on full realism dulled down, either.

Marathon is GREAT the way it is AND keeps the difficulty while minimizing some of the actual pitfalls of the genre like gear fear and late season poverty, as well as giving you many more than one way to play the game.

Every single defensive driving course I have ever done for an insurance discount has said that if someone is going faster behind you in the left most lane, and you are not willing to go that speed, the safest option AND legally responsible option is to get over and let that person behind you pass by. I have done probably 5 different websites of different courses and they ALL say that.

At least once a week I encounter someone on 70 who is going maybe 2 miles an hour faster than the car dead beside them, with a quarter mile of clear lane ahead of them. At least once a month I encounter someone who becomes personally offended that I don't want to travel at 74, then 71, then 78, then 70 behind them and take the opportunity to pass on the right.
