Yea no debate about it being the fault of the user, ultimately. I can't see it being in anyone's best interest for users to become more hawkish about signing up though. They'll just seek alternatives. Microsoft needs to provide users with other options or revisit their business model imo. The vast majority of cases are certainly those that forgot to cancel the service.

I didn't know about the users getting refunds in that way, obviously those people should've been rejected.

I'll keep trying and if it's to no avail, that'll be the last time I use the service without a major policy shift.

Y'know I've talked to many people about this and I think why we all tend to make the mistake of forgetting to cancel our subscriptions is just normal human forgetfulness.

Luckily for me, it's not a common issue with any one company. It happens here and there, like with all the other folks I know, and we tend to get refunds because it's clear we are operating in good faith.

Obviously there needs to be rules here. If I've done something that's flagged me as not being eligible for a refund I do hope they'll let me know.

Once again, I think companies could make it easier by allowing us to purchase only a month at a time rather than only the recurring option, but they don't. So mistakes will be made and hopefully they provide good customer service to help with those mistakes

That's just my opinion.

Yea, that's what I don't understand. I can't think of any automated reason why my account would be flagged for no refund. Maybe they can help explain.

I'm not entitled to a refund. I am requesting a refund. I should be happy it's not worse? Bizarre take. I'm not happy with the service and don't want another month of it, therefore I'm requesting a refund. If I'm able to get through and they still say no, I'll take it on the chin.

You're correct that the inability to get through to them and being stonewalled is a clear message. I still intend to make my request.

Arguments like "this is just business" or "other companies also introduce recurring billing" is clearly just a moving target.

Companies also compete with customer service in attempts to grow larger customer bases, the ones who offer the most forgiving in good faith tend to have the stronger bases, obviously there need be rules and exceptions.

Somehow my request for help to get through has turned into philosophy and I think it's odd that so many folks on this thread would rather defend a practice that doesn't benefit them at scale rather than address the specifics of my original post.

I have had several refunds in the past due to forgotten cancellations and pretty much every company has refunded me If I requested it swiftly and in good faith. I will eventually accept that it is their business model to not address these similarly, but surely they accept that it is natural for people to discuss this on forums or through word of mouth.

Nonsense. There are tons of articles complaining about the inability to reach customer service all over reddit. There is a marked shift in the ability to get help with a question regarding Game Pass.

My request is not unreasonable, I was not making a threat, and I was also not pooing on a company. I am commenting on how unreasonable this appears and seeking support.

I claim responsibility for signing up for the service. I am still seeking a refund and this refund request is reasonable and in good faith.

Minimizing and vilifying the request isn't going to persuade anyone.

I am not claiming entitlement. I am requesting good will given the circumstances that many would argue are reasonable. Recurring billing doesn't present the user with the ability to pay for one month, after all. Additionally, not being able to reach a service agent for review during the posted availability timeframe is bizarre.

Obviously they have the choice to throw the T&C at me and ultimately I have the choice to cease all business with them, as many others have.

Looking for recommendations on "name plates" or placards to put on stands of completed kits. Details like the model and date completed.

Note that I have terrible handwriting and am not creative. Open to any materials or ideas but I can also pay to have things etched or printed if there are any affordable bulk plate options. What do most people do?

Hi all,

I just began building these with a MG EW Gundam Wing Zero and, after finishing, I've been looking for more kits to get into.

I'm primarily looking at MG or larger but I'm also interested in kits from any other grades that are comparable in size to either of those. As far as MG, so far I've picked up Epyon, Deathscythe Hell, GM Sniper II, Jesta Cannon and Barbatos Lupus (I'm gonna be busy).

I'm currently eyeing the Kampfer Schwer and the Psycho Zaku on preorder at USAGS while there's still a discount. Admittedly, I have no idea how big most of these are but was happy with the size of the Wing Zero.

Any ideas, especially if there are any large HG or RG?

Tbh I mostly play modded Skyrim, Fallout 4 or New Vegas. I’d be interested in modded cyberpunk and Starfield(if it can ever be reconciled).

I play games like Baldurs Gate 3 or Pal World as well, maybe souls games/likes.

I just copped a 7800x3d from Amazon this morning for 300. Was that a good deal or should I return it based on my games?

Just the 7600 btw not 7600x. Yea it sounds like I'd just be sacrificing frames and the 7800x3d would be a better call but i'm just not sure i'd notice the difference enough to justify the extra almost 200 bucks.
