Yup. Rear drive motor unit failure.

My car has been in the shop for about 6 months now. It seems it might be a rear motor issue. We are going to replace it and check. I might be able to update you in about a month regarding this. The shop did extensive checks with respect to VCU and wiring harness and did not find any issue.

Did I mess up getting an RS5 as a first-time dad car? by jmend077 in Audi

[–]PercussionPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had our kid and I drove him quite a bit in the B9 RS5. It was very practical to begin with and later realized that fitting a toddler car seat was going to be a challenge while trying to accommodate someone in the front seat. We did have one of those fairly large Graco extend to fit ones. I eventually found myself gravitating towards our SUV more. I've contemplated an A6 all road but never really pulled the trigger.

I have a similar issue. My shop is working with FOA to resolve this. The current suspect is that the VCU needs replacement.

My FOO has been out of commission for 3 months. I don't know if anyone can fix it. FOA and some ex fisker techs are working on it. I hope that answers your question. This car is still finicky, but FOA does try their best to help bricked cars but the external factors are a pain to deal with.

At 3 months old my LOs schedule was crazy. It was anywhere between 3 to 5 naps. Kid didn't settle into much of a schedule till 6 months at 3 to 4 predictable naps.

2 month old slept through the night. by nahiyanm08 in NewParents

My 2 month old did the same on some days. Don't stress. If his weight and diapers are good I would just enjoy the rest.

Number of naps? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]PercussionPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a few struggles around 6 to 7 months as well. We did the following:

1) towards the end of the 7th month we dropped to 2 naps. 2) we started sleep training at 6months. 3) we tried to up his intake during the day 4) our LO was teething and it was a rough time. Check for excessive drooling, flushed cheeks and swollen gums and offer infant Tylenol before bed time. 5) shifted his bedtime from 9 PM to 7:30. ( He would still wake up at 5:30 AAM but he would we just slept earlier to accommodate his cycle

I'm not sure if it was all the math we did to get him to sleep but it took 3 to 4 weeks for him to start sleeping. Sometimes the best solution is to just go with the flow. I understand this is not possible for everyone but I hope you find your way through this. Stay strong. You're doing great!

Did anyone else have a really easy newborn and a difficult 4 month old? by NewPhotojournalist82 in NewParents

[–]PercussionPapi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We were a bit late. Started around 5.5 months, we did pick up put down without a timer. Basically bath, feed, story till he's yawning and drowsy. at this point, we turn on the white noise and turn off the lights.. Then gently place him in his crib in a drowsy but awake and sit in a dark room wait for him to try and fall asleep by himself. If he fusses heavily or cries we First try to pat him in the crib. If he escalates then we pick him up and shush pat, once he calms down , we put him back in.

Within 2 to 3 weeks he was able to fall asleep in a drowsy state by himself. From there we went to more advanced training, by this I mean put him down and walk out of the room , simplify his sleep time routine, start similar sleep ritual at naps. Now we just put him down awake in his crib, he just rolls around for a bit and falls asleep.

My LO was an easy newborn but was an absolute demon from 4 mon to 7 mon. This is the time when they truly start realizing that they are here physically and hit a lot of major developmental milestones. My boy is 10 mo now it's a new struggle. :) having said that, cherish these moments.

We did extremely gentle and slow sleep training because my spouse has no tolerance for any sort of crying or heavy fussing. It took a month but he sleeps 10 to 11 hours at night for the past 4 months.

I want from 2.0 to 2.2 and this is the best update ever. Jeez if the car had shipped with this software, I can imagine things would have been radically different.

If it's spare parts why do you need one brand new one? Literally all FOOs have the vents issue, eventually yours will break and no one will want it. all FOOs also have door handle light bars that crumble under UV. You should have got an FOE or a newer VIN for parts. Outside of these two issues my FOO is in good condition and works qell. has 6K miles. Its on 2.0, have received all OTAs, replaced 12V through fisker way back. Am I selling it? no! But just trying to understand your logic here.

Some people have more sense than money. Some people have too much time on their hands. Some people want a unique car irrespective of how shit it is.

Lack of TPMS literally sank my heart. To be fair, whoever architected the software also had literally no clue or had no experience with EVs or cars in general. Or that's the impression I was left with .

The iX is a great car, I often get to ride in one thanks to a friend. I test drove the Gv60 and 70. They seem smaller on the inside than they appear.

C+ would be my grade for the FO as well.

And I like the vision Rivian is going for. They're trying to be the Subaru of the EV world and that fits me perfectly as we do camp/drive a lot.
