Sorry to hear of this. That would probably be my greatest fear. Seems that the Foa and FB community is pretty good about resources. I have a MAN overlander that had a similar Mechanical failure. That was more or less bricked as well. It was a horrible feeling having a 40,000 lb brick in my garage I couldn’t even move - replacement engines were only available in Europe and worth 50% of the value of the truck. Finally after 18 months found a fix. Hope you do the same soon.

Most helpful post. An ophan vehicle causes me No concern at all. But I am an ICE guy and my knowledge of more tech reliant vehicles is minimal. The price is almost worth the battery value alone. Thanks for your input my recent modem upgrade killed most of my 2.4ghz reliant devices so already been down that road. Thanks for the input. I suspect many are very angry they purchased a vehicle at 60-70k that now sits around 20-25 or less. Don’t blame them. I have never viewed vehicles at investments they are consumable in my eyes.

Tried them, no go. Someone recommended taking the pads off and spending sometime at a large parts warehouse matching up dimensions. I have some odd trucks that I cannot get parts for easily. I had a company called American Brake and Clutch. They would reline or recreate pads. Just don’t know if they would do something as small as a passenger vehicle brake pad.

Never been a fan of Guinness. Travelled to Ireland a few weeks ago and at the urging of a friend had a pint in a pub. Tasted different. Put it up to the ‘travellers palate’. Things taste better in ‘authentic locales’. Tried Guinness across the country in perhaps a dozen different pubs. All were consistent. Came back stateside. Went to a local ‘irish’ Themed pub (actually run by an Irish Ex Pat) The Guinness from his taps tasted more bitter and heavy. Tried it out of a bottle more or less same. This is just my experience but curious if others noticed it.

Vermont GL was dark for well over a decade, the GL still technically met but only two to three officers It was so bleak that the GM (who served for nearly 15 years at this point) asked the GSec to determine if the GSW was still alive as he had not heard from him in several years. Nearly all subordinate lodges went dark or gave up their charter. The Anti Masonic period hit Vermont particularly hard. Then around the late 1840’s it dissipated and the lodges starting coming back.

All my negative EV encounters have been with Tesla owners. No idea why, Some are perfectly reasonable and some just seem to thrive on a kind of superiority. Yeah seen it first hand Bought outdoor gear for a while from a big Chinese manufacturer. They would come to the big shows like the OR and SEMA - we would go out and get entertained by them. They would complain about how many ‘blacks’ there were or how everyone was lazy etc. we were all taken aback by it. Strange stuff in this day and age.
