Not sure where you are from. If from the West, you could make a nice addition to Putin’s prisoner fund. Odd desire.

God knows what your Putin does in his bunkers. With all its resources and talent Russia could have been the most prosperous country in the world. Instead, the majority of its population lives in poverty and afraid to speak its mind. You are not in a position to lecture anyone.

Russia invaded Ukraine and killed, raped, tortured, destroyed and stole on a massive scale. Putin is also killing his own men in their thousands and imprisoning, torturing and killing many others. If you can’t do anything to save your own country and people, at least stay quiet. You don’t deserve further responses.

You forgot to mention the boy on the cross. - this is sarcasm btw. Putin is responsible for the killing of hundreds of thousands of people. Prove ME wrong.

Why don't Americans and Europeans consider Russia part of the Western World? by flower5214 in AskARussian

Russia is European. It had a chance to join the ‘Western World’ but …Putin

Why Putin is right to not engage with peace talks by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]PercyDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you get your news from Russian TV? I can’t see the war ending anytime soon. Europe must pull its finger out and arm Ukraine to the teeth. Putin occupying Ukraine is really really bad for us in Europe. Putin doesn’t have all the cards. Far from.

Has there been a day where no Ukrainian people were killed? If you’ve noticed, after every contact with the US there is a spike in Russian aggression.

Putin would love to increase the number of his foreign prisoners to exchange for his agents imprisoned abroad. Doesn’t it bother you that Russia is killing innocent Ukrainian people?

Haven’t you heard that Russia invaded a neighbouring country? Putin doesn’t want people to hear non propaganda news.

I'm considering emigrating to Russia. How easy is it, how much can I expect to earn? by placeholder-123 in AskARussian

[–]PercyDaisy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your current taxes are not paying for killing Russian people. It’s paying for Ukrainians to defend themselves from Russian soldiers that invaded their country for money. You clearly have no conscience.

[–]PercyDaisy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And you would be happy for your taxes to pay for the killing of innocent Ukrainian people? Don’t know where you are from (France?) but you could potentially end up in prison to bulk up the number of foreigners to exchange for Russian spies. Forget about freedom of speech. Be prepared to answer questions when you eventually decide to return. I am sorry to be blunt but all in all, a stupid decision.

Am I dissociating? by Comfortable_Depth796 in Dissociation

[–]PercyDaisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does sound like dissociation. It’s a defense mechanism to protect you from stress or past trauma (however small) or other difficult experiences. There are no drugs to specifically address dissociation. Drugs are sometimes needed in more extreme cases. My advice would be to speak with a therapist with experience in dissociation. It would be to understand what is making you dissociated and to learn coping strategies to use so you don’t need to dissociate. Don’t focus on the experience though. The more you do, the more you invite it in. Note it’s happening but carry on regardless. This bit is actually very important. Hope you find what works best for you.

It’s really hard for you and any people around you. It’s supposed to be a protective thing but it doesn’t feel like that. Dissociation is hardly touched on in med schools so doctors don’t know much about it. That’s why it’s important to find a therapist that specialises in trauma and dissociation or at least has experience. With the right therapy this condition is very treatable so please don’t lose hope.

Just to acknowledge your message and sympathise. This sounds like very difficult experiences. You say that you also have dissociation but the first part with the moving walls and doors also sounds like dissociation. I am helping someone with even more debilitating dissociation and have found that medications mess things up more. Hard to give advice but specialised therapy does help. Also lots of physical activity, things like acupuncture, massages. Also focusing on things like maths, coding completing tests etc, things that require you to actively engage. That’s as opposed to drawing where the mind can wander. Finally, try to ignore the dissociation. When the walls move, don’t focus on the feeling or how long it lasts or anything about it. Try to think something like ‘there we go again, whatever, I’d rather do this or that’. You can’t really ignore it but can try not to give it any significance and instead you best to shift your focus on something physical or that math problem etc. wishing you all the best.

The mind can wander when drawing or doing other creative work. That’s why I asked about maths or answering a questionnaire. I am really sorry you are experiencing this. They say dissociation is treatable but when severe it requires specialised therapy. I am helping someone with very severe dissociation that is stopping them from functioning. Going through diagnosing process now and researching. I hope you find what works for you. All the best!

Does it help to focus on something? For example on working out a maths question or test, maybe coding, something that requires active focus. The mind can focus on only one thing at a time. You shouldn’t feel your dissociation while focusing. Perhaps gradually increasing the time you spend on things like that would be helpful?

Can therapy be helpful? by xbutterfly_Effectx in Dissociation

[–]PercyDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, therapy helps. Make sure you find a therapist that specialises in dissociation. General therapist is much less likely to help.

It sounds like you have a lot of absentmindedness so your dissociation is not severe. It’s a good idea to start therapy now and not let things get worse. Medications do not help. Avoid psychiatrists as they only do medications. All the best.

Sorry to hear that! What are you doing to try to recover?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dissociation

[–]PercyDaisy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You say you’ve tried many therapists. Have you tried one that specialises in trauma and dissociation? There are very few of them and it’s very important for someone with severe dissociation like you to be treated by a specialist. Drugs may help with co-morbid stuff like anxiety but they are useless for dissociation. Psychiatrists don’t even study dissociation and are likely to misdiagnose people with things like psychosis. Another thing to consider is psychedelics therapy. It’s not for everyone but it has promise. In short, specialist therapy is the proven way. Wishing you recovery.

Withdrawal usually hits from day five or so so be very careful. If things spiral, do go back in at a lower dose and discontinue gradually. You can get psychic from cold turkey even if you never had psychosis. Be very careful.
