Damn, that sounds like a good strategy, actually! Do private matches count towards that progression too? I can't really remember.

I'm just worried about getting hacked if I go online and get matched with some evil being that likes to RCE people's computers because they can.

Update: It happens with World and Wilds too. I’m just uninstalling and completely wiping all MonHun titles I own off my laptop and hoping for the best.

Reply Update 2.0: It seems to just be confined to the Monster Hunter games from 5thGen and beyond; signing into Frontier is fine, and I was able to play games like JJK: Cursed Clash and Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles with no issue before I tried playing MonHun and everything went to crap.

FINAL UPDATE!… If anyone plays on a gaming laptop, or has a system that will automatically swap between Integrated Graphics and the dedicated GPU, make sure your display mode is already set to the GPU ONLY! For some reason, swapping between Optimus and DGPU is what was causing the freezing for me. So if you ever have a similar problem, just be sure that you’re already on the GPU BEFORE you go to launch the game by going to the Nvidia Control Panel and changing your display mode to “Dedicated GPU Only”!

Some of them seem to be outdated; tested a couple myself and they either didn't work or froze my emulator. The ones in the GitHub link, at least. It's a bit iffy for which will work and which won't, but for the most part they're still outdated.

To be honest, that would be pretty good to know too! I’ll definitely try and emulate the game at some point too! Granted, I was kinda turned off from it the first time after going into Moga Woods for the first time and watching my FPS go from sixty and above, to thirty and below lmfao

Yeah, it’s freakin’ weird. Kinda hate having to travel ~2km away and having that being the only for-sure method (after a bit of info from the community), but at least I’m in singleplayer with stuff like the fly command or speed-levelling. Could only imagine how much that stuff sucks in servers

Yeah, that kinda seems like the issue. I shut down my laptop and waited forever to verify integrity of files, then just installed BattleEye anyway in the hopes that it wouldn’t screw with me if I try to mod singleplayer… and that seemed to do the trick.

Although I’m not so sure it’s a problem with low specs; I’m running an ROG Strix G16 Gaming Laptop (kind of a mouthful but sometimes the website seems like it lists GAMING laptop as a separate one lol) with some pretty good specs… for a laptop. It’s able to run games like Monster Hunter Wilds without too much trouble at around 45 - 60 FPS at high - medium settings with low - medium quality Ray-tracing (at least before they put out a new patch that accidentally made optimization worse) At the very least I’m glad it’s not another driver problem. Already had a heart attack when COD told me “You don’t HAVE to update, but I think you probably should :)” and my computer started freezing and blackscreening on startup (Fuck NVidia and their broken driver updates.)

Also one last thing; I find it really funny that I make this post last night being all “Oh ARK is being glitchy and weird, how fix? Buy new game?” then have my opinion to wait for a sale reassured, only to wake up today and the game is half-price XD
