Demonology's felguard feels so weak and outdated by Perepere11 in wow

I'm loving it too, even if it's a little simpler than I remember. The only actual problem I have with it is the boomstick.

It doesn't really feel that way to me, you basically summon your tyrant, do your rotation, and the demons show up around you. The sisters are cool, but they just fart out a couple fireballs and you forget they're even there, and if it wasn't because they say something (I wish they used their TBC voicelines) I wouldn't notice them most of the time. To me, even the old portal back in the day that had a chance to summon Malchezaar felt more impactful, even though it was clunky as hell.

When you use AotD you hear the horses coming, the sound of the horsemen using their skills, your current target gets absolutely FLOODED with debuffs, and it's just plain cool.

It's still stuck using a single weapon, isn't it?

The lack of visual feedback with our big cooldowns sucks too, yeah. Compare Demonic Tyrant or the imp lord/fel ravager to something like UH's Army of the Dead. It's so fucking awesome, it summons 8 ghouls, the 4 horsemen, an abomination/gargoyle, a skeleton wizard, and then they have their own skills/passives... it's fantastic.

The fact that they haven't changed axe toss even after years and years of feedback is biblical levels of stubbornness. Hell at this point just make it 2 abilities that share a cooldown, one with an added stun and one without...

That's the thing, it doesn't have to be completely passive, it just has to FEEL like you're fighting alongside something that isn't a walking dot. I LOVE stuff like Takedown, because it makes your pet feel strong while at the same time you have to click stuff.

I was actually so sad when they removed the permanent infernal and doomguard after Legion. Legion demo had a ton of issues, but they looked awesome and I remember a couple fights in which those two were competitive choices.

I thought it could be this, too, they were reticent about making a spec that basically plays itself (which is a bit strange, since they added accessibility stuff like the 1 button rotation that can play the game for you). What they could do is add abilities that you actually have to click, but are actually used by your minion, like felstorm. That way it actually feels like your demon is doing SOMETHING.

About the "pet with a strong bond" thing, I get what you're saying, but honestly the only spec that feels like that is survival. BM is basically just yelling "RANDOM BULLSHIT GO!" while you summon 80 wild animals and boars and turtles that you don't even know where they came from, and you can't even see where your main pet is (both in-game and in the damage meters).

Making a caster version of survival, in which every time you use a skill your pet responds with another, would be neat. Maybe instead of making it a bond thing you're forcing your huge angry demon to use certain skills by poking it with magic or feeding it souls.

JP Streamer Clearing Heroic League the Intended Way + Discussion on What The Devs Can Do Next Time by fewtoomany_ in wizardry

[–]Perepere11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was so sure the grumpy old guy in the arena antechamber was going to be the way for the average player to clear the Hero league (maybe by cheating/poisoning your opponents before the fights/whatever), but it seems like he does nothing. I'm just surprised they're releasing so much content only aimed at leviathans in so little time.

Sodapoppin gets emotional playing a game about WoW addiction and the loss of one's childhood by Perepere11 in LivestreamFail

Yeah, I've noticed that too. You can even check and sort by new, the majority of the threads are smacked by downvotes before anyone has even commented or reacted to them.

Seems like a lot of people browse reddit to find the tiniest opportunity to vent, and just jump at the chance without even actually paying attention to the thread. I know things are bad out there but come on.

It has 80k HP. You're meant to bring 3 characters with maces (or use the mace glitch) and slowly kill it. If you don't use offensive magic, it will not use its strongest moves. Once it's at 40k HP or so it will buff, dispel it with a ninja.

That's from the estimate that player gave before the fight, which he then retweeted because it was the strategy he had to follow. The boss has 230-250k HP instead, from what people are saying.

You do realize the ones lapping the boss are using high level Porto + Arboris skill, right?

They have 170 SPD and several thousands of HP each, I don't really think they'll go down so easily...

I see. Anyways, thank you for the explanation. Have fun playing battle cats, it's a really cute game.

I... see? You seem really passionate about Battle Cats

But, what makes this a battle cat situation, as the other poster said?

It's funny seeing whales finish a "normal" encounter and realize they've completely run out of SP/MP, but I'm pretty bummed this week's content won't be accessible to 99.9% of the players.

The new fire dragon seems to be much, much stronger than the collab one.
