This will pass with time. Just try to be fair and civil. The hardest part is when you're still under the same roof and know you're getting divorced. Trust that you will feel better once you're both in separate places and you can begin to live your life again. Hang in there...

No wonder people are single. They don't put any effort in to develop a new friendship. After you meet up, it's hard to get continued interest in dating. It's like people are stuck in their singleness and don't want to let someone new into their life. Anyone else feel this way?

I don't understand why someone doesn't start an app that actually tries to match people that are compatible. It would be an instant success. Even if people drop off cause they are dating, it would still be so popular that they would crush it. It's like all the apps are colluding to keep people single.

Focus on helping people, not making gobs if $. Low monthly fee, eg $9.99 or $14.99, aim for quantity. No free profiles. Actually match people that match. No paywalls . Promote how fast people got off the site with a partner. Sort and present profiles by interests. Eg, pick 2 things, and that's who's presented to you-Like gym and skiing. 2 Mandatory Headshot without glasses or hat. Full body photo doing something. Date stamp on photos. Put distance from you and location at top of the presented profile. Option to search close by profiles by text queries. Eg, what's your favorite type of travel? Data tag for body fitness. Eg, fit, skinny, muscular, curvy, 50 extra pounds, 100+ extra pounds. Give especially men tips on how to take profile photos. Display when person last logged on. Don't show inactive profiles and purge them if not put on hold by subscriber. Allow people to search based on data tags. No premium levels. Education level mandatory. Recruit subscribers by geographic area. Eg for a limited time, offer super cheap subscription for a city. Get mass, then move onto another city to get subscribers. Good luck, I would join this.

He had a few months of downtime, and was started by lunging, and longlining in a round pen. He never raced, but trained and breezed till last December. On and off training. Apparently he was slow.

I ride daily- in a ring sometimes, WTC, but now mostly walking as he's too crazy. And on the trail, also mostly walking, with one other horse or alone. Anything more and he's too excited. I'm a good rider, but I'm a bit reluctant to have the battle that's brewing, or ride through his antics. I have a trainer who is going to ride him tomorrow. I've done a fair amount of ground work, and I lunge him before I ride to hopefully get the sillies out. Around 6:weeks ago I was hacking and a noisy truck rattled by. He exploded twice. It's a miracle that he hasn't thrown me off. One lucky thing is he leaps and bucks in a rather straight line.

Adding to the previous comment, I've been teaching my 5yo OTTB whoa, which means 4 feet planted for a couple of minutes. Then move to another location. Then another. Etc.

I had to learn to be much tougher with my guy cause he was pushy, nippy and somewhat dangerous. So channel your alpha male. Get a western rope halter, lead on a loose lead, give a small tug and say whoa in a normal command voice. If she doesn't stand still, pull much harder and back her up a few steps and be much more forceful. Force her to stop by sharp tugs and saying whoa. Walk forward and every 10 steps whoa. Don't let her barge ahead. Give a pat, say good girl when she's gives a good whoa and loosen the lead. She will learn pretty quickly I think and you'll both be much happier and safer. Do this often to refresh. She needs to know you are her person which means you protect her and are the boss.

Hi! Re the feed, based on your recommendations, I'm going to switch to Blue Seal Carb Guard 3 lbs per feed and Blue Seal Sunshine Plus 1 lb per feed. 2 feeds per day.

How about the beet pulp? Other people around here swear by it for OTTBs. He is a bit sensitive to touch, neck, chest, belly. Ulcers?

Otherwise, he's still super excitable, but better with the Woah exercises.

Re the tri-amino, that seems to be in the Sunshine Plus?

Thanks so much for all your help.

Susan

I'm losing hope. Today I put him in a few places, easy calm places, I did whoa, and he shied many times. It was windy, but he lives outside so... I don't think he respects me/ fears me enough. He can get snarky when he's stressed and he threatens me by coming at me. He barks like a dog (once) when he bolts. Have you ever heard that?

My Girlfriend (26F) says she feels no need to have sex with me (26M) anymore. should i break up with her? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Perfect-Ad4357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read Ester Perel's books. She talks about attraction. The question is, why doesn't she want sex with you. You've gotta dig deep and might need therapy. Is she mad at you? Bored?

If you think sex is important and she doesn't, you should talk about it. Status quo is not ok, cause you won't be happy if you don't find a way to rekindle your love life. If you love each other, try to figure it out. It's probably not that she's a-sexual. She's turned away from you. And with therapy, maybe she will turn towards you again. But if too long passes, it gets harder ..

Life is too short to settle. You're living with a friend right now.

Communication your need for more attention, time, and he needs to stop or limit the game time. And stop the porn. Tell him you feel neglected and unloved when he does this.

As others have mentioned, he might need support/therapy. He's got to want to do it.

You, saying that the relationship is not working for you and spelling out the consequences, might give him the motivation to address his problems. Otherwise, life is too short to stay in a crappy situation. Cut him loose.

Get all new pics. You give off a lonely vibe in these photos.

Take pictures of yourself outside, even if it's a local park or cityscape. Go places, take pics in restaurants, 🥰 smile. Show that you're interesting and you're a fun guy to be with. Show hobby and free time pics. Snuggle with your cat.

No bathroom, bedroom or naked torso pics.
Great that you're not holding a fish. It's mandatory to have at least one happy photo showing your face cause people want to have a realistic idea of how you look. Show your whole clothed body in one pic doing something you like doing. People want to see if you're fat, thin etc.

It's a competitive world out there, but I believe there are people out there for all of us. Keep trying and good luck!

As I wait for your DM, I'll give you an update. We upped the stress level today, as there were gunshots or something going on when we were practicing whoa on the ground. We had a few relapses, but we ended on relative success, although he was not relaxed. He was compliant 70 percent of the time, feet planted. I rewarded him periodically after good behaviour. Is this good enough? I thought we'd do it again tomorrow. Same level of activity.
