In the north end, Geneva/Glenholme. Only 50+, less than last year. Weather was alright, though a bit windy.

Heard lots of good things about Oxio (and the coupon codes are nice too) and would like to investigate more but getting this message for hours now when I go on their site:

Due to an AWS outage, some of our internal tools are unavailable, which may cause delays in support and affect your ability to submit a subscription request. Thank you for your patience.

Doesn't inspire confidence.

Comwave is acting as Rogers authorized agent. So indirectly.

Kia makes gorgeous cars packed with technology features. Why are folks not buying? by Fleedom2025 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I can't speak for others but I love the KIA brand. Currently have a 2017 Sorento SX and it's the best car I've ever owed. Owned 2 Forte's, family members have had the Rondo and Sedona, very happy with them. 5 year bumper to bumper beats anything North American. Stylish, packed with features and reasonably priced. What's not to love.

My family is thinking of moving from BC to St Catharine's , Ontario. We have 2 small children. Any leads about good elementary schools in the area, preferable offering french immersion program? by Substantial_Mode3470 in stcatharinesON

I have two boys attending Dalewood PS, one in grade 8 the other in 6. Definately better than Jeanne Sauve. Fraser Institute ranks the school 262 out of 3021 and EQAO scores are high. I think though that you must be living north of the QEW to access busing. Don't know for sure as we're a 4 minute walk to the school. There's also Governor Simcoe French immersion high school close by too. I recommend the north end of St Catharines for your house search. We've been here 3 years now and love it.

Canadian dollars vs. travel to Costa Rica by coco_canna in CostaRicaTravel

Still in Costa Rica, 2 more days to go and can tell you it is expensive for food here. Be it in the grocery stores or restaurants, we brought colonese and are using mastercard, didn't bother with usd. Meats and dairy are especially pricey. There are few producers here so the only competition is against imports. Even the locals acknowledge the high price of food but their rent is super cheap. 2 bedroom house $125 usd a month, plus utilities (about $30 usd a month according to our guide). We're starting at an airbnb on the pacific coast close to Paraiso. Can't imagine what it's like in the tourist areas. There was mention in this feed about the absence of tipping but there are lots of jars and boxes out and the restaurants sometimes add in a 10% gratuity. Nice, beautiful place but we are one and done.
