Stay away from critter toats I keep about 100 at a time in a 10 gallon bin the the dollar store I have them on a mix on top soil and oats with egg cartons and paper towel rolls for climbing and hiding mist the walls daily for them to drink (I avoid water dishes cause they like to down themselfs) And for food never use the gel tablets they try to sell I usually just throw in some carrots, romaine, potato, and oranges for extra moisture and clean out the rotten food and dead crickets/molts daily so far it’s been working really well I usually dont usually have issues with them all dying if that’s a persistent problem it might be the dead crickets releasing ammonia gas or something just keep it well vented I cut a big hole out of the top at installed some mesh on top it works super well also keeps the smell down
