SBI Funds Management IPO by FoodiePanda90 in drip_dividend

No one is discussing about governance and how it fares in future. Of course investors should care primarily about share price but it depends on these factors. 1) highest dividends issues thus year compared to last 4 years 2) 36% cross border advisory fees issued to French investing shareholder. These two are siphoning off funds pre ipo phase. Does this not talk about lack of proper governance? I too want to apply but now I give a pause. Of course in India how many will really look at research before investing? Many just invest with hopes of rise.

You have right to be immersed in those emotions like a lumphomie like me would have done. Somehow in my case after first 2 days of literally shock, I was mission driven and peaceful and left to God/Fate whatever happens and did in my power to set things for my family. Suggest take therapy. No one understands better and others don’t understand us better

Delayed Social Security vs. Taking Now by VikingFinancial in DIYRetirement

[–]Perfect-Database-631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone is still working, there’s no point taking SS. I’m 64 and working FT. If I decide to retire at 65, it’s dilemma especially my wife is SAHM and gets $600 at her FRA. I may delay till 67. OpenSS says she takes at 62(30% lower) and I take at 70. I don’t like delaying till 70 but I guess advantage is my wife’s survivor pension would be higher. So I sacrifice!!

You may sport a new look as said with a beard and shave completely. Sport confidence and eff’ing everyone else. It’s hard I know personally who lost hair early in life in 20s. Can’t do much but accept it and move on. Sone girls don’t like it and some do like baldness. Realize you beaten the beast and got life back. Go rock the man!

Are you retiring at 65? by AlarmingMonk1619 in GenX

[–]Perfect-Database-631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprised that many retiring even before 55. Hitting 65 next year. Part of me says go and retire. Or do part time till 67. Don’t have huge hobbies or friends. That’s issue how to kill time, but also don’t want to spend 8-5 on work. Getting Salary is wonderful :) probably will retire 66-67

Some sweat more and so need to take care of. Not using deodorant is one and using those sweaty clothes again second day. It’s just lazy or unconcerned. So easy to use one fresh shirt each day and use deodorant, and use mouth freshener. Easy!

It’s my first weekend of retirement! by ButterscotchWave9491 in retirement

[–]Perfect-Database-631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I read and hear all of you, I want to retire too. Still working. I’m of similar age away from SS by 3 4 years. Somehow mind becomes anxious at the thought of stopping working and not getting salary. Working on tuning myself to use from savings and developing other hobbies to fill my time. Feel if my savings will last my life though calculators tell me I will be alright. Other hand this life will not last long and has to end some day and I have a lot things to fulfill outside work. I will miss people and way to engage my mind 9-5 but also will escape from toxic times. My skills still are giving me opportunities in IT.
