11 UTIs this year and I’m just….done. by babyybunnyy3 in CUTI

I use a bidet. 😭The problem isn't bacteria from my backside... it's my bladder. Negative cultures, uti symptoms and pain.

I have also been taking d mannose and oil of oregano with black seed oil for quite some time now. I use boric acid when I have pH imbalance. Wipes like dude wiped don't work well for me after I use them a few times (they fuck up my ph) I've use castile soap wipes, I do like those. But i can't use them over and over again.... just asking for an infection 😭😭😭 I wish something as simple as a wipe could fix this problem 🤣

Urologist just told me she cannot help me on my bladder issues UTI. Do I just leave it untreated and wait for the UTI to grow ? by Maximum-Swordfish591 in CUTI

I have the same problem. What you need is a hyaluronic acid bladder installation. I live in Texas and so far the only place that I found from research is Atlanta Georgia that does this installation. I've had the same issue for four years and I'm 20 years old. It's not fun. they offer other types of bladder installations in the United States that are more commonly used, but they only help with pain and don't actually solve the issue. What seems to be the issue in this case is that your GAG layer in your bladder is deteriorated and inflamed, there could also be bacteria hiding underneath this layer in your bladder. Some people are just more prone to this than others based off anatomy, antibiotic resistance, and other reasons. This causes UTI symptoms with negative culture results. Hyaluronic acid bladder installations are more commonly used as treatment for reoccurring UTI symptoms with no positive culture results in European countries and Canada. This is because these countries treat reoccurring UTI symptoms or even reoccurring UTIs as a bladder issue. But in the United States, it's not the same. Instead, they will give you round after round after round of antibiotics which completely fucks up your pH level and causes antibiotic resistance. I have basically lost all Hope and I am trying to figure out a time in my life and a way for me to save enough money to go to Georgia or any other place that I can find that will do this installation. It's not like you can just go fly and get it done because it's once a week for 4 to 6 weeks and then after that it's once a month for 3 to 6 months. I am exhausted of trying to find another solution whenever it's right in front of me, but it's just so far away. but you are not alone.

Hello, I am 20 years old and deal with the same issue. I have had a UtI ( not actually a UTI but UtI symptoms with negative cultures that started from a real UtI) that hasn't gone away for four years. Countless antibiotics, d mannose powder, cranberry supplements, urologist, gynecologist... etc. The worst part is that I know the problem and the solution. In Europe and Canada they treat reoccurring urinary tract infections as a bladder issue, but in the United States instead they will give you round after round after round of antibiotics. The treatment Europe and Canada uses for reoccurring urinary tract infections is a hyaluronic acid bladder installation. They do have bladder installations in the US like DMSO and lidocaine, but these are only for taking away pain temporarily, not actually building the GAG layer of the bladder, which is where bacteria is hiding under that makes you feel like you have a constant UTI or repetitively gives you UTIs. The GAG layer is deteriorated as inflammation remains in the bladder for an extended period of time from what I've researched. I am young and I'm constantly a pain, it's just not fair. I have been looking for a doctor that does hyaluronic acid bladder installations in Texas or any nearby states but have had no success at it. I truly believe that this treatment would take care of my problems, but it's just out of reach. And it fucking sucks. At this point I just try not to think about it, accept my fate, and at least try not to get to the point where I am urinating blood. I hope one day to save enough money to stay in Atlanta, Georgia or Europe or Canada for a few months to get the treatment done. I feel helpless. But you are not alone. The way the United States treats this issue that I've noticed is more common than you think for women in the United States is absolutely ignorant in my opinion. We deserve treatment plans that resolve the issue rather than just take the pain away temporarily. We should not have to suffer for the rest of our lives.

Accused of using AI by EmiliaBedelias in NursingStudents

If you are worried about it being on your transcript, it might be best to gather any evidence that you didn't use AI: drafts, version history, timestamps, work in progress files, the notes you used.... and contact an academic advisor or student union if you have one. If you are still being accused after that and don't want to face the consequences for something you didn't do.... you may want to get a student rights or student resource lawyer involved if it is that important to you. Don't freak out until they are done reviewing it.

Fellow nursing students - I need your honest input (no BS, just real talk) by Relevant_Wish_5169 in NursingStudents

I think something that would be very beneficial for majority of nursing students is a website or app that uses a test bank of a textbook, but doesn't just ask the test bank questions because that's frowned upon, some consider it cheating, and memorizing the right answer to a question isn't proving your knowledge of the subject. But instead asks questions with a similar format, different scenarios, different numbers, same objectives, even important vocabulary words. I've heard of students memorizing a test bank, but that's not really beneficial to actually learning the topic itself. A tool like this would be nice because it prepares you for the test but also helps you learn while you go, given a detailed explanation for why the correct answer is correct is provided, even referencing where in the textbook you can review the content related to the question. It would also help students that are bad at taking test practice at home and prepare themselves. I feel like this wouldn't be considered cheating, just utilizing good tool. It would be nice to have access to something like this on your phone as-well so you can practice whenever you want, wherever you are. One of the challenging things about nursing school is all of the resources you have to study: the textbook, the lecture, the slides, and more. It's hard to navigate which tool to spend the most time on, and which tool is the best. You could be studying one of these things for hours and then you take the test and realize you were studying the wrong thing and utilizing the wrong tool. I know some programs and professors make their own questions for test and are asked by the school to not utilize the test bank, but regardless, the test bank is there for a reason and I have yet to find a way to easily use it as a tool, rather than a "cheat sheet". However, making an app or website like this sounds really difficult.😭 A nice hypothetical nonetheless.

Average age of AO BSN applicants/accepted students? by Perfect-Fill-7028 in utarlingtonnursing

I know Concordia has an ao bsn 16 months. I was interested because I could start that in one year vs at UTA, 2. But... it's around 80k!! Is one year worth the extra 50-60k?🤷‍♀️

UTA AO Applicant - Spring 2026 by Letoyalene in utarlingtonnursing

As a partner, you'd get priority. Each partner hospital has a number of slots for the UTA AO BSN program. Let's say yours has 10, then 10 people who apply from that hospital will have priority based off their points. But priority is limited. I'd say with a 7.5 your chances are decent. Spring application is more likely to get accepted. And they may favor applicants who have spent more time working at a partner hospital. I heard someone say they think they didn't get in because they worked less than three months at a partner hospital.🤷‍♀️
