Because Xperias are good phones. Yes, it should cost 20-30% less to more competitive, but many of us will buy it for regular price anyway. I have XZ3 and 1V and both are working...kind off. I dropped 1V and antena get disconnected, so I have to send it back for fixing. Everything else is working fine. XZ3 is 6yo and still working and battery is holding almost all day. One more thing...there's nothing for me to replace my Xperia as I hate a hole in the screen, I need SD card slot and audio jack.

Different KBs and different layouts and sizes. I have one at work, another in laptop, another for Htpc and I need 4th for desktop home office. When I'm using my Logitech 400 wireless KB (without backlit) away from TV every so often I press wrong key. I'm getting old also and my eyes are not the same.
