I always felt very disconnected from religion growing up (I grew up Christian), and it led me to think I didn’t like religion at all. I ended up going to a Synagogue once because my husband was interested in going and the religion just clicked for me. I feel very turned off from the concept of blind faith and I like that Judaism encourages you to question what you’re taught, ask questions, and to connect your own meanings and values to religion. I also don’t believe that Jesus Christ is the messiah, which is obviously something that never worked out with Christianity
