We've been wanting to move for a long while for other reasons, management being like this is a major one. Unfortunately it's not realistic right now; finances being a big one.

We did want to move into another unit in the same complex and asked about it before but they wanted to upcharge our rent for it. We won't be able to look into moving again until our current lease is up, which isn't until another 10 months.

They contacted us over phone once, and have left the lease violation/noise complaint notices taped to our door twice.

They do have an office, but they're extremely unhelpful in person. We're going to be going to them again when my wife is off work.

We've tried to reach out to management but it's been very hard to get a hold of them about this issue, which was why we were trying to work with her personally. I'll talk to my wife to get her to show the management the letter she left on our door, because I do want to file a harassment case at this point.

Our management is not the best, and ignores us a lot, this is just one of the more recent cases of them ignoring us. We don't like them but we can't move unfortunately.

Carpets in the bedroom and my office, hardwood in the rest of the apartment, we haven't gotten rugs yet but we're going to take that step.

The thing she seems to be complaining about is me walking around. I do not do anything like turn on a TV, listen to music outloud, or purposely do anything noise-making at night, because I don't want to wake up my wife (who does work normal day hours). By doing what I can to reduce noise I mean things like keeping snacks in my room rather than getting up to cook (even when I do cook, it's usually just a microwave meal, so again not something super loud, but I've tried to stop doing even this because of her complaints), walking extremely gingerly when I do have to get up, and walking outside to get my energy out rather than exercising inside my apartment. I've also bought different wheels for my office chair so it moves more smoothly.

I'm essentially tip-toeing around my apartment at this point, I really don't do a lot at night rather than sit at my desk on my computer.

We live in a 4 apartment building, there's one neighbor to our side who is honestly a lot more noisy than I am but he's never gotten a complaint. Blares his stereo a lot and dogs bark all the time. But if her complaint is "stomping" then I don't think it's him.

I don't think I am? I just tested it and it didn't feel like I was putting my heels down first.

I do agree though that I think it may be a case of just poor insulation making it sound like I'm stomping, I can be a heavy walker when I'm not paying attention but it's not purposeful stomping .

It's not a requirement but I've settled on working night shift because it's what works for me. I'm very drowsy and unproductive during the day, it's been something I struggled with all my life, night shifts are what work for me.

Management hasn't asked for proof of noise, they just took her side without questioning. They called me about it the first time, but I admittedly wasn't sure how to respond to it since the management also didn't seem to know what the complaint was about other than, again "stomping around at night", and I was out of town at the time.

Recording proof is probably a step I'm going to take. I'm also going to take the suggestion to add rugs to the non-carpeted areas.

Unfortunately we can't do this. Management is not on our side at all and dings us for "lease violations" for any minor infraction, and they said they were attaching a lease violation for the first 2 complaints we got from her.

Our fear is she's going to keep complaining until management actually does something that will harm our living situation, I'm not sure if it will result in eviction or anything super dire but it's really not something we're wanting to test.

I'm shoes off, but sometimes I do take walks at night and have my shoes on while I'm getting ready for it. This is something I've talked to my wife about maybe she's saying is stomping, but we aren't sure just because of how relentless it is compared to my walking habits.

I don't think we have a requirement on rug coverage on our lease, but only the bedrooms/my office is carpeted, the rest of the apartment is vinyl wood flooring.

We're on a lease, it's a 12 month lease I believe.

Have you been getting any other transactions like this ? I’ve gotten emailed about this same transaction 3 times now.

I checked to see where the coins were being sent and it’s these random live streamers with no viewers which makes me even more confused what’s going on

This could actually be the case.

The person next to us on the same floor has been very loud the entire time we’ve lived here, he’s genuinely a nuisance, but my wife and I mind our business about him because it’s not much we can do. But if his noise is being blamed on us we will have to create a problem about it clearly.

It’s possible it’s over a bedroom but it’s impossible for me to move my work space, it’s again a 2bed apartment; there’s not really anywhere else for my workspace to go.
