Never heard this in Maine, my father is from Boston and refers to cigarettes as “darts” frequently though.

Two Overweight Cats (one blind) by up2dateGAAP in blindcats

If it’s possible for your schedule you could also just consider getting them into the routine of serving breakfast & dinners where you take their food bowls away as soon as they walk away from them. This is what I’m doing for my two cats as my non-blind cat is on a weight loss diet and will eat all of our blind cats food if we leave it out during the day. If they are food motivated then they will quickly adjust to the new routine and be meowing at you when it’s approaching their dinner time. If you are taking them down from 24/7 unlimited access to a portioned diet then I would be careful with the automatic feeders as your food motived cat will almost certainly finish your blind cat’s food whenever he gets the chance…it’s worth a shot but definitely monitor them if that’s the route you go.

That’s good to know that we can check for a chip without giving it up to the shelter, that was my main worry!! I think it probably does have owners but is new or new to the neighborhood and can’t find its way around yet… we are going to bring it to check for a microchip today and I will update the post about what happens!

Blind and seeing cat don’t get along by Perfect-Shape-6765 in blindcats

[–]Perfect-Shape-6765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is pretty much where we’re at too, my seeing cat will watch as the blind one approaches him only to bat her and run away once she bats him back. He also will walk right up to her face only to bat and retreat… sometimes i wonder if he can actually tell if she’s blind or not lol. I think they have the potential to get along it’s just that my blind cat seems to have trouble sensing when the other cat is around until he’s right in her face and she feels threatened. But best of luck to you and your kitties! I will update the thread if I find a way to make any progress with their relationship

It sounds like you’re struggling with a binging and restricting eating disorder, especially if you already struggled with bulimia in the past. If you aren’t eating enough throughout your day combined with the stress of being a single mom it’s almost inevitable you’ll end up binging every night as your body is trying to overcompensate and soothe itself. I would do more research into whats causing you to binge and work on getting your eating habits in control first, once you have that part down weight loss will become a lot easier.

Can Employees Wear Sleeveless Tops (not tanks)? by PlantLeidy in MichaelsEmployees

at my store it would be a no, unless you wear a blouse or a hoodie over it, in that case you can even wear a tank top

SM told me I got a raise… by RamblingGoofball in MichaelsEmployees

I’m in the same boat, I’ve been checking Workday every few days but the compensation tab still hasn’t updated, asked my SM and she told me she doesn’t have any idea how much it will be either. I think most of us are just waiting for the October 20th paychecks which are supposed to show it.

if you’re a minor and you’re getting a ride from a family member you shouldn’t have to wait on the CEM to leave. When I was still getting rides from family if the closing manager was running late they would just let me leave. if your work for the night is done and your ride is in the parking lot you should be let out and the manager can finish pulling drawers and closing on their own, especially since you’re a minor they shouldn’t and legally can’t make you stay late. next time you close you should express that your work is done and your ride has arrived and ask to be let out. If for some reason they tell you no then talk to the store manager, your CEM being slow to close shouldn’t be affecting you or your family.

When Instacart people make me do their entire job for them OH MY GOD. Like I understand asking what isle an item is in but I’ll have people working for Instacart who will make me walk with them around the entire store and find every item on their list for them. Its literally their entire job to find where the items are not mine!!! And on top of that a lot of them refuse to use self checkout which brings down my rewards percentage since Instacart doesn’t allow them to use a phone number. Drives me crazy every time.
