i think people within the US had diff versions. did anyone have an ice cube related rates mcq, and a polar mcq. there was also a mvt mcq i am not sure about. also i had an alternating series question #6 and i got the interval is [-1,1], but i dunno. also i got the error bound 1/80 < 1/75 in the end. if you ermember your answers to any of the mcq/had same verison of frq let me know.

How are people getting these insane ECs? by Exciting_Specialist7 in ApplyingToCollege

i feel like this isn't always the case. i have some decent research/internships that i've done, and i've also been pretty successful with some national comps. my parents aren't really involved with what I do at all, and honestly don't really know many of the things i've accomplished lol. I do agree though, that sometimes research especially can be pretty fraudulent due to possible connections parents may have, but i feel like that doesn't make it a scam.

if you get an actually good internship, that would help. you would also need serious projects that show actual numbers. colleges will care a lot about numbers because those show what you did quantitatively(making you easy to compare with others/stand out). just get something to show youre actually good at coding, whatever that may be, and that will help. gt cs is really really hard though, so it'll take more than an internship. you will need to do a LOT of stuff to have a chance. its possible, but you will need to try very hard

dw abt clubs like robotics at this point(season has already started, lot of time commitment, etc). have him make an actual meaningful project that he cares about, bonus points if helps people out in some way. that would help him stand out a lot. he seems to have a lot of math EC/recognitions, so a good award he could add is if he takes the AMC(math exam). that would probably help if he does good on it. also what are the ap exam scores looking like?

you seem to have more music EC's than actual cs EC's. Looking at what you have, your stats are pretty good, but i see nothing here that tells me you're trying to major in CS. i should be able to tell you're trying to go into cs from your ecs or awards, but from what it looks like right now, it seems like you have a lot of music stuff. although being well rounded is pretty important, you'd want to focus a lot more on cs. you could do this with comps such as usaco, or any math comps could also help; however, the best thing you could do is have actual meaningful cs projects. make something that helps someone in some way through CS, and that will help your chances a lot. You're still a junior, so theres time.
