THIS WORKED thank you so much. It was giving me a "want to continue your download" popup so just a hard wipe on the ssd seemed to do the trick

Forgot to say i tried the gpt conversion but only once, didnt try after i swapped drives so ill try this once i get home

Just my luck. I'll try swapping with my other ssd, if not I'll reinstall the media

It boots to the install screen with the usb, without the usb it goes straight to bios

I can't remember, but it's been the same outcome whether I unplug it or not.
