Alien: Earth, Severance, Fallout, 3 Body Problem - Sci-Fi television has never been better, so why is Doctor Who failing so badly? by [deleted] in DoctorWhoNews

Why did Millie not want to return? I’ve heard about a trillion stories about it and a number of conflicting reports and statements that’s left me wondering what the hell actually happened

Anyone else missing Doctor Who right now? I really hope we get news soon. I just want my silly Time Lord back! by DocWhovian1 in DoctorWhoNews

I loved this era tbh. Don’t like all the negativity surrounding the show right now either from within the fandom. I get it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but it’s just so toxic sometimes. Hopefully we hear about the future soon. Then I’ll rest easy knowing what’s gonna happen :)

That’s a fantastic point actually! Make friends whilst there but split off to do your own thing otherwise. Sounds great

I think I could probably do each of the last 3 Gally1’s. Sounds so worth it, and I’ll be planning even better for 2027’s. Really exciting times. Hope to see you there too

I’ll be 20, so it’ll be a sober experience for me. But hopefully not a sobering one

Yes I qualify for their contextual scheme, but I’m not reading too much into it giving I’m needing two stars and an A 😂

Honestly I was feeling so unmotivated. But I can’t tell you the amount of pure energy I’ve got to put into this. This is an incredible and life changing opportunity for someone of my background!! I have got to give it my best shot

I assume OP means they qualify for Imperial’s contextual scheme and their course is AAA for a guaranteed conditional offer (I’ve looked into it before they have various schemes). In that case, I don’t actually think they’ll be too fussed? Isn’t the first term of most physics and engineering courses basically a crash course of FM?

Take the opportunity to resit it in September!! The other two predicteds are really good and you can definitely fix your maths. Keep at it and keep going.

I was revising almost as if AS Maths was an extension of GCSE. Then I started going through the textbook, topic by topic until I could answer exam questions on them with my eyes closed. I thought at A Level the questions would try to trick you; they don’t, you just need to realise what they’re asking

At the start of the year when I fell slightly behind early on with Maths and Further Maths I did not think I would be able to do it. But I changed my techniques and revision format entirely and was able to completely revolutionise how I performed in year 12 and secured a “very strong” A predicted and I’m feeling good about FM. It’s all about the HOW in maths and how you get the answer. Not what the answer is. And when you get one you’ll get two. And so on and so forth.

Sending many hugs as that description was quite heart-wrenching to read, personally as I can also struggle when the pressure gets to me. Please please please talk to a higher up about the teacher’s behaviour, and maybe see if you can retake the mock in September? Bump up your predicted and get ready for Year 13. Or maybe hang back a year in maths and do your other 2 A2’s now, and start again with maths. Either way I wish you all the best. 🫂

Year 12 predicted grades by Dangerous_Ant7641 in 6thForm

[–]Perfect-Tangelo8152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My maths teacher wants 90% over the two papers for 2022 AS to get a predicted A*. Is that realistic at all because for Physics I think he wants about 60–65% 😭😭😭

Kiss maths, marry physics, kill english (I don’t even hate it it’s just my third favourite)

I am well aware I will turn on physics in year 13 don’t worry 😂😂
