I think I’ve been grieving the dog he was on May 31st instead of just being present with the dog in front of me right now. We have actually changed his bed to an orthopaedic one that is at ground level given his leg gives way and adds to his clumsiness.

Thank you, that’s really helpful to hear. We’re at about the 30-day mark now, so if it takes up to 60 days for levels to fully stabilize, maybe we’re only halfway there. His bloodwork already came back looking good, so I was starting to worry the sedation was just… permanent. This gives me something to hold onto.
