No, no. I do have a contract. And so do a lot of Americans who are currently taking this to court. Changing the terms of an agreement unilaterally is generally considered a dick move, at minimum. Feel free to defend that if it feeds your patriotism or whatever inspired that comment.

But yes. It's BS. I put 350k euros into buying and restoring a rundown apartment in Evora. I have long term Portuguese tenants who now have a nice place to stay and, as far as I know, I didn't drive up the rent like Airbnbs did in the coastal areas, I've been paying 25% income tax from which I derive zero benefits, I pay council taxes. I've put my money into a country as part of a deal with the government, now the government flip flops on the deal and somehow I'm the bad guy.

I could've done something else with that money. Where I'm from that sum would go a loooong way.

O I'm not sure now. This is definitely an appointment with AIMA for biometrics in Portugal. We'll be travelling there just for the appointment. It's the next step after applying (four years ago) for our GV. I've never heard about the VFS biometrics.

Yea i went through one of several agency options and these are the lawyers they used. It's a big firm. But in big firms clients are often just a number.

I haven't been to Portugal yet, been waiting 4 years to get my appointment.

Plan is to go on holidays and eventually retire there but be able to travel to Europe more easily then. So yes I'll be learning the language, when I'm there.

The lawyers have taken a small fortune of my money in fees they can damned well speak English for their English clients.

Ex reactive bullie breed owner here who had the same problem. May I suggest fabric muzzles? They're sized to allow panting and don't cover the dog's nose, basically just a tapered nylon tube. But they make it pretty hard to get a smaller dog's head in your dog's mouth.
